Watching the CFL for the first time. Nice to finally see some football.

this is the first time ever??? eskimos? they got clobbered by the roughriders today. some people like it moreso than the nfl but we certainly don't (my son and i). we try to go to a couple of the eskimo's games every year. it's a fun and cheap outing (approx. $75.00 for two with food and 'park and ride' is free). the problem here is the weather of course. the last home game is the middle of october and then the playoffs into november. can be very cold with snow by then (usually) and common wealth stadium isn't covered.

our favorite nfl teams are the broncos then the steelers. :handclap:

Guys, check out the ESPN top highlights sometime this week. Brazil posted a nasty 3-0 upset against Spain and one of Brazil's defenseman relentlessly slid some 10 feet into his goal to redirect a potential goal against.

I'll post a video if I can find one, but this is undoubtfully the best play of the year. :amazed::amazed:

EDIT: I found it

Happy Canada Day err body.

I'll be celebrating all day by drinking Rolling Rock and Maker's Mark and probably deep frying something random tonite.

I also have on a Sydney Leroux jersey (It's 93 here, so too warm for the Adam Deadmarsh jersey) and Alabama basketball shorts.

WOOOOO!!!!

Managed to score tickets for Centre Court at Wimbledon today through a friend, if you see a Canes hat in the crowd, you've found me. Williams v Lisicki was awesome, Murray and Djokovic won as expected, but there was some amazing tennis in there. Pretty decent seats too:

So what TV shows are you guys watching? I finally decided to watch all of Breaking Bad, and have really enjoyed the series. I'm so stoked for the final 8 episodes starting next month. Been really digging a lot of the AMC series actually; Mad Men, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. Anyone else got a simliar show they'd recommend?

Good for him. I know everyone loves him coaching Butler, but he deserved a better coaching job.

I always admired him for staying put at Butler (but honestly, what other open jobs were REALLY that much better? Bigger conferences, yes, but not better teams).

And again I admire him for taking what is absolutely a rebuilding job. Seems like a really smart guy that just seems to figure out how to get the most of his players.

What I've watched since December:

Breaking Bad
Weeds
House of Cards (The first season, obviously)
Mad Men (I'm up to season three, it's one I watch in spurts)
Wilfred
Archer (or at least most of it--only started it two weeks ago)
The new season of Arrested Development

...and because I like terrible cooking shows, Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef.

If you haven't, give Weeds or Wilfred a shot. Those are shows that I can plow through at least a season in a day of...as I'm sure you probably recall me talking about with Weeds a while back. The first five seasons of Weeds were awesome, with the final three clearly a step below.

I'm extremely late to the 24 bandwagon, going through season 3 at the moment. Californication is pretty decent if you haven't seen it. And what I've watched of Vikings has been awesome, I might be biased on this as I am from viking country though. I know a lot of people that are raving about the french series The Returned (Les Revenants), but I haven't seen it yet myself.

I'm not afraid of insects or anything, I've owned tarantulas and scorpions in the past, but I s*** you not, a 2 inch beetle with an iridescent purple carapace and a green head landed on my shorts tonite, while I was fumbling with my keys.

I wish I had a camera with me for a pic, I've never seen anything like that before in my life.

All this rain is havoc on my apartment. Not a night passes lately that I'm not picking 2 or more bugs of various species off my bedroom walls
