Benching slow Bert is a plus no matter who you put in his place. Bert skates as fast as a parked car. He cant pass, he cant receive a pass, he cant read a play, he does not forecheck he does not back check... how is it possible for Bert to have 14 points playing on a line with a guy who has 48 points?

I wouldn't bench anyone at this point because I'm not paying close enough attention or in the room to know who is out of position constantly, who is making mistakes all the time, and who is not following the coach's orders.

It is silly that people are arguing about who should be benched... no one has a clue.

Benching a top player for a game does not make a season. It does however, send a strong message to that player and the team.

Kucherov was benched for a game. He's still leading the league in points. Tampa is still in the mix.

You're too worried about "how the board reacts ". Screw the board. Keefe unfortunately doesn't answer to this board.

Unfortunatly he benches a guy for a mistake yet keeps playing a goalie that should be in the minors?!
