You also need to understand the purpose of your moves. Benching Marner would make some ppl happy, but it likely doesn't inspire him to play better

Have any of the top players been worse defensively than Kampf this year? Not sure they have.

Nylander has probably been the worst... I'd love to see how the board reacts if he was benched, they already complain that he is treated unfairly.

I have no idea what happened to Kampf but he's been noticeably worse this year. Likely factoring is starting the year with Reaves on his wing, that's an anchor nobody should have to carry.

Marner is a high-risk player, if you want a mediocre player and take away his best attribute which is his creativity, I think you start benching him for being creative.

Also probably has the puck more than anyone else.
