Schneider of 2010-2016 was twice as better as Blackwood ever was at any point in his pro hockey career.

Schneider of 2016-2018 was still MUCH better than Blackwood is now.

Schneider of 2019-2020 was....... At least marginally better than Blackwood is right now.

not comparing them as goalies, Schneider was much better and a all star at his prime but he usually would allow a softie that ended up as GW, mostly cause our team were so shit they couldn't score more than 1 goal most games. He wasn't a "clutch" goalie

When you realize this teams defense is pretty poor you may realize what’s actually going on…

This is why I am reminded of why many of you have zero credibility.
Yes he fanned on the puck.
But the amount of people ignoring Jack Hughes giving the puck away becuse of the hate for one is insane.

The difference is Hughes lost the puck and HIS JOB is too control the puck but when the goalie who’s job is too make saves mishandles the puck it’s ALL his fault.

The fans giving him the Bronx jeer while he has kept them in this game and this team still can’t f***ing score is also a joke.
You’re not going to win games when you don’t score goals.

There’s a huge difference in Jack’s mistake and Blackwood’s and their roles.

Blackwood’s job is to stop pucks.
Jack’s job is to make stuff happen and create goals.

That was a really bad mistake from Jack but with the type of player he is shit like that is gonna happen some times. Needs to make sure they don’t happen often. Lmao Jack’s job is a lot more than just to control the puck. If that’s all that was expected of him he he wouldn’t have scored that goal or made that turnover. Would’ve just skated around with it in his own end on the pp.

Blackwood just needs to be a steady presence in the net and come up with some saves. Mistakes like that can’t happen.

But don’t talk about credibility while suggesting Jack Hughes’ job is to control the puck like there isn’t a lot more to it and expected.

Mark my words: This guy will not look good anywhere. At least not for long. Whoever signs him this offseason will regret it, unless they wanna tank for whoever is the head of the 2024 draft class.

In fact, we should be able to get some Bedard tanker to downgrade and take him off our hands, like when Buffalo was trading for Lindback in the middle of the McDavid/Eichel draft year.

The fact of that matter is. the guy's only good stint in his pro hockey career was two years with the Devils in the NHL, which is now 3 and 4 years ago.

The FACTS are that he's an .891% since February 20th of 2022.

Only Korpisalo has been worse out of NHL regulars that have played at least 20 games in that period.

And Korpisalo is actually having a decent season, so he may have passed him by now.

Blackwood is no better than Jon Gillies.

And I don't care if his ceiling is higher or his potential is higher, he's no better than Jon Gillies.
