There's nothing wrong with the roster construction. It's not fundamentally flawed at all. They just need to be better, it'll miraculously happen, just wait, it'll come

I surely hope any chance of this FO stupidly giving Pesce any type of extension has gone out the window now. Dude has lost several steps.

They might have made a mistake in not taking whatever they could get for him this summer. We can't keep him next year for what he wants, and he is pretty rough out there this year for us right now. Not great

Well we were debating earlier about who to keep between Pesce vs Skeji. At this rate Pesce can come off the books first.

His play this year is going cost him millions. Aged out, injured, playing soft to stay healthy who knows but it’s bad.

Pesce shouldn’t be playing over TDA at this point if this is what we’re going to get. Both are ass defensively, but at least he could bring *something* positive by maybe helping out the PP.

Lundqvist explained it as simple as I’ve heard it explained. There’s a reason teams don’t play MTM defense like the Canes. Because if one or two guys have an off night the whole team looks like shit.

The Hurricanes have overcome this by working their asses off but age is age, and they’ve got a few guys who are entering the high mileage era of their careers.

Unfortunately true. We need someone from a trade or from the farm.

Challenge is going into the year I preferred to trade assets for a scorer; not a goalie or a defenseman.
