Totally agree. McLeod dumps the puck in there are basically 2 identical players chasing. I would have tried spreading the size / speed out a bit more evenly. I would also give Foote way more ice time since there is no point to bringing him up to not play but these coaches are coaching for their jobs so I understand.

I think Foote skates adequately enough for his size and shot, but he needs players who can create space for him to use that shot and so far the team is deploying him as a dump and chase forechecker.

He has skills, but he is a player that needs to be on an optimized situation at this point to contribute.

Disagree. Bastian is actually faster than people realize. Like he’s not that slow. Foote is slower.
