Canes played a hell of a game. Their defense was relentless. Galant has to figure out better line combinations. On to game 6. If we win that then winning game 7 would be the perfect set up for this underdog team.

17 shots? That is inexcusable and embarrassing. They were terrible. And again Laf was the only player who looked like he wanted to win.

That’s all I have on tonights game.

Garbage game, didn't have the puck all game. I don't understand how we have so little space in their zone in Carolina. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

He has to figure it out in game. He is horrible at adjustments. Dinosaur

It’s a shame with how bad it was, and the two goals given up just another boneheaded power play turnover, and then a really lazy Vatrano penalty.

Probably should have been 5-1 or 6-1.

I just don't buy the "he's hurt" thing. Everyone to a man is playing with some type of discomfort. It's called playoff hockey. Fox is not a fast player, never has been. He got beat standing still, and to me, it was as simple as that. He was not going to catch Svechnikov on that breakaway. Panarin might be hurt, but it doesn't excuse his braindead puck management.

This team needs to become more of a team that plays along the walls and between the circles in the offensive zone. I actually thought they did a decent job all series playing along the walls at least in the neutral zone. But once again, when you trail, you have to open it up and at the same time Carolina went to their defensive shell.

They'll probably win on Saturday but can we send Panarin to which ever team signs Strome this summer?
I'm telling you. Edmonton will do something really dumb if they blow this series against Calgary. Trading Draisaitl level stupid. A ton of assets plus Panarin out and Draisaitl in would fix so many problems with the roster balance of this squad.

Is it conditioning or are we just a slow team overall?

I don’t think we’re a slow team. We make decisions slow, aren’t confident/decisive when we do make decisions and we somehow play physically slower than we’re capable of because there isn’t a soul on this roster, besides like role players like Motte, who has a HUNGRY MOTHER f***ER mentality. We’re a bunch of well fed, fat, domesticated dogs. We need some wolves. We have none.

Carolina is clearly better conditioned stamina wise AND much more agile and quick. GG wanted more speed so they brought in Motte and Vatrano but they have no IQ.

Many have called out the team's conditioning and skills coaching and I think that's something to look at, because if a team has set a standard why lag behind?

It's something how Carolina can be two different teams at home and on the road.

If we lose this series, I'll be watching very closely to see how they stack up against the champs... Rod has them playing amazing playoff hockey. Sticks and bodies everywhere.

I think NYR have a real shot on Saturday. It's a game 7 I'm not optimistic about.

We’ll force game 7. It seems like beating Carolina at home is illegal, but I guess we’ll find out.

Here’s the deal.

I hate Ryan Strome. I hate playoff Panarin and playoff Kreider.

that’s all.

Playoff Kreider is really pissing me off this year. It's like he forgot that regular season he just had & time-warped back to 2018.

Panarin & Strome's no show shouldn't be surprising to anyone at this point. We discussed this ad-nauseam during the season...this is who they are. They cannot create anything in tight checking games, they will not alter their style, they refuse to stop overpassing & they suck in their own end. I am so ready for this line not to be a thing next season.

Im PISSED
Not because we lost
I expected that
But this season was suppose to be about the kids getting PO experience and build confidence
GG has completely detroyed kk's confidence
He should have been back with laf and chy and given a vote of confidence
I said this before. Kk's confidence was lowered but demoting him made it much worse. Players have to play thru those ruts and playing with our 2 worse players BY FAR aint helping him
Motte JB Hunt next game 4th line please!

Why break up the kid line?? Bit of an X factor.. while the top 2 lines, especially the 2nd, looked incredibly flat and the choice is to break up the one line that's flowing.. why not just mix and match the top 2 lines? Doesn't make sense. Stack the top line with Panarin. Big fan of Gallant but haven't liked a few things

I would do this
