OT: Hunting/Fishing

Is it ever. Back in the 90s I used to have a forestry survey route up in that part. The worst thing about Winnipeg is that everything great is two hours away. Nature-wise. (ok, 60+ minutes now that I think about it).
The line delineating grassland/prairie and boreal forest/taiga biomes is worth the drive. :) The abrupt transition is low key amusing.

I love being on the Red and pulling in a 36” catfish and then seeing the look of absolute horror on some people’s faces when I throw it back in.
They learn quickly to stop asking me.
Probably the same people that leave their minnow tubs, dirty diapers and other garbage behind when they leave. The old cabin lots out towards Breezy Point are disgusting.
