Yeah, actually I'm sort of embarrassed that I pointed out his grammatical error. Normally, I'm able to suppress that sort of urge, but affect and effect are really pet peeves of mine. Right behind "off of" when people should be writing "off".

Speaking of embarrassments, I wasn't trolling to get a free upgrade in my account, but thank you very much for your generous act. It's unnecessary but so typical of the welcome I've received in here. (Okay, there's a few trolls who like to DM me, but that's part of the larger world these days. Overall, everyone here has been very patient with me.) And if I did manage to raise the hair on The Dude's arm with my grammatical sniping, then that's not such a bad thing.
