Except for the second goal. That was his man and he was caught watching the puck.

He left his man to help his teammate (Seids) who was losing a puck battle. A poorly timed mistake, but not really "caught watching the puck".

Aside from that, he looked pretty good on the 2nd pairing. Maybe he's ready to step up. I certainly liked him there better than I liked Bart or McQuaid.

He threw three checks early well after the play, the Bruins didn't engage him like normal and he disappeared. Bruins are spot pickers, sad but true.
Looks like the strategy worked. If opposing goons have no one to engage, they disappear because they have nothing else.
to offer.

Yeah that was rough. The D as a whole was doing that last night. I was wondering if it was a communication or familiarity issue, but still you can't double up a guy who has his back to the net and leave the trailer wide open ten steps in front of the net

The whole team was puck watching on two of those goals. It happens and Krug made up for it with a goal and a great set up for another goal. I think the one thing I like about Krug's game is his patience. He is very good at waiting until the seam is open.

He's still going to make mistakes from time to time but out of all the defensive combinations since they traded Boychuk I think I liked last night's the best. Especially since Chara has played better this season and can play better.

It's nice to see Dougie shaking off the terrible start as well but he still hasn't quite mastered the art of when to pinch and when not to pinch-it's coming though.

Wait, we're at 4 pages in here right now? After a loss we hit 20+ pages, and after this huge win it's 4?

Man that's a scary thought.

Yes,Griffith looked good and hope he can keep it up but that RW spot with Krejci and Lucic still seems like a black hole.Is Griffith 2 years away from realistically holding that spot down.?I think Krug for the moment is holding his own in a top 4 role and in my opinion it is the only way we might be able to offset the loss of Boychuck.

We need to make a move at RW with some of our draft picks. Krejci needs a legit weapon if we want to go anywhere in the post season. Happy to see Griffith score.

Nothing I want to know apparently, although sadly I guess I already knew it. Disappointing.

This is very disappointing.. I've been one of the harshest critics and last night was just a thing of beauty...

Krejci, Chara and Sieds bailing Bergeron out of that penalty was a beautiful thing to watch... Was just a very good, and entertaining game against a quality opponent...Will be a top 5 game when its all said and done at the end of the year..

My observation is that over the years as this site has become more and more popular there has been an increase in less objectivity and positive posting. Now of course as the team goes criticism is fair game. That allows for insightful discussion and exchange.

I find the trend to be more inciteful and broad sweeping comments as opposed to insightful and backed up factual comments.

Since it is not someting that can be controlled I try to consider much of it white noise and filter it out. I search for those poster(s) I know that contribute in a healthy manner pro or con.

I've had big concerns about this team as well.
But it was a great game and a big win.

Atleast the ones that seem to preach the team can do no wrong shows up and admits their disdain time to time...the ones who say we do no right never come back when the going is good it seems.

Yeah they come back in round 2 or 3 and are like "YEAH THIS TEAM!"

I guess its just natural. When they lose, half the board is pissing on them and the other half is defending them. And it carries on like that for 20 pages. When they win, everyone is more or less satisfied. Nothing to argue about. You can only praise them so much. Also the trolls stay away.

Spot on GW.

Also this new trend to argue against what you assume people would be saying? The "I bet you'd be the same person who's saying X if Y" and arguing against that.

I don't get it.

Even Dojii back in the day had backing for why he believed what he believed...even if it was completely 100% unreasonable

All this "trade everyone, team is the worst, etc. etc.!" stuff sucks when there is no reasoning behind it, and I'm finding the "Where are the haters?!? Looks like everyone is shut up now!!! All the fairweathers were wrong!!" after one win just as obnoxious and childish.

Would be great to sneak a good solid man to man(or woman) conversation in there, backed by thought, real debate, etc. Too much to ask? Maybe. Maybe I'm just searching for an Oasis:laugh:

what a fantastic game last night. had a big collapse to fall behind at the end of the 2nd and rallied and came up with a big effort in the third period. big game for the Krejci line. He and Looch seem to be coming into form. Fourth line is a different dimension with Gagne; IMO, gives us four lines that could score.

and can't believe there is any talk about John Scott, I turned the game on late and didn't even realize he was on the Sharks until you guys were talking about him here. completely irrelevant.

back at .500 now, so fresh start. and I love that we have some cap space right now to address some issues later on. I miss JB55, but that will be important come deadline time.

It is a sad trend. But as a long time lurker/poster, it's nice to still see so many posters that have been around here for 10+ years; I tend to look for those names when I'm reading a thread and gloss over some of the 'white noise', as you call it!!

I love how we win a game, and RER comes puffing his chest out, chastising anyone that had any type of criticism of this team, regardless of whether it was completely legitimate or not. You get grouped into the constantly broadening "hater" category. It's as if last night's result means that we have no more problems or worries anymore. As if we can just coast to the cup finals with this team, without having to make any moves. It's truly laughable, and counterproductive to anyone looking for a legitimate discussion.

Sure, there are a few negative posters who just complain for the sake of complaining, but there are HUNDREDS of posters who go by what they see, and discuss it at face value. THEY are not "haters" or "trolls," they are critical thinkers who prefer objectivity over unbridled enthusiasm.

Great game last night, we showed a lot of mental toughness, but what the hell does last night's outcome have to do with our abysmal start, or the holes in our roster? Do you think Chia looked at last night's game and said to himself, "Well, everything is awesome. My work for the year is done" ? Of course not.

We did well last night. Now let's build from it. Lots of games to be played, and lots of work to be done by the both players and management.

I find myself reading only some of the posters .

It's fine to be a critic but after a couple of games some here are ready to trade everyone and quit on the B's. You can find something wrong with almost any player's game if that is all you are looking for.

I know I stand up for the players and am overly positive at times but I find that better than being miserable all of the time.

I guess I feel the team will make adjustments and figure it out .

You can't expect it to be perfect when a few players are coming off injury and there are new lines trying to get the chemistry going.
