And here was the peak of the snow. At least it wasn't freezing rain but good lord, I don't know how the I-10 corridor from Jacksonville to Houston gets snow and Charlotte barely does.

I just think it’s silly to have that rule. I get the reasoning behind it, political discussion is basically asking for conflict and rule-breaking, but so are a bunch of subjects, not the least of which is hockey fandom. Hell, there’s a 22-page topic on the main board that has broken more rules about flaming than our political discussion did and that’s been open, seemingly untouched, since Saturday.

As long as we don’t cross the line, I don’t see an issue with political talk. Though, to be honest, we probably did cross that line last go around.

For real. Politics pervades every aspect of our lives now- nothing is free from it. I feel like everyone here has rational, productive conversations regarding it. Yet we are suppressed. It is really telling, though, when certain opinions are allowed to run wild and only when opposing viewpoints come into play is everything deleted. I have to wonder when you are the guy hitting delete- do you really imagine your view is winning when you are the one having to suppress a viewpoint?

I simply think the threat of Skaven is as real as that of Chaos Dwarves in the previous century. You cannot negotiate with those Warpstone addled, power-hungry maniacs.

We had some ginormous flakes in Asheville yesterday that, thankfully, melted upon contact with the ground or jacket. Not to be a spoilsport but my mom's rehab hospital is on a hilltop that's a challenge to climb or descend in the Outback under normal conditions. When the storm was first announced, I was thinking I'd have to park at Hilman's and hike up to see her.
