Wait until Ovechkin's career ends a couple goals short of Gretzky's record...If they cancel the season, I'm going to loathe the constant "Who would have won the cup?" threads.

Just f it at this point. Cancel the entire season.Like the NBA, the NHL is apparently asking it’s clubs to look into arena availability in to July.

The NCAA just canceled March Madness and all games in other spring sports.
Probably right. There's only about 1600 cases in the US right now, and the number of cases will multiply in the next few weeks.Just f it at this point. Cancel the entire season.

Dang that screws him right now that sucksWait until Ovechkin's career ends a couple goals short of Gretzky's record...
The suspension of the league clearly hurts the Kings the most. We were about to go undefeated and win the cup

If lucky, the number of new cases will start to decrease, but even then how do you determine when it's "safe" to resume the season?
Unless they just decide screw it and resume anyways, which just defeats the whole purpose of suspending the season to begin with.
NCAA has the slight benefit of not having to pay players....
Yea i was gonna drop in to see what condition the conditions were inWith a shortened or canceled season, how do conditions on trades work?
Yeah, yeah oh yeah.Yea i was gonna drop in to see what condition the conditions were in
The total number of deaths is still around 40 people I believe. Out of the 40 deaths, 19 were of elderly people in a single nursing home in Seattle.Probably right. There's only about 1600 cases in the US right now, and the number of cases will multiply in the next few weeks.

I know people born and raised here.. and are 5th generation annnnnd still have a shitty accent..How does Luc still have such a thick accent? Dude has lived in LA for 30 years at least.
When all's said and done, I think this could very well be what happens. Can't pause everything forever. The total number of deaths is still around 40 people I believe. Out of the 40 deaths, 19 were of elderly people in a single nursing home in Seattle.
I think a far better solution is for those who are at risk (the elderly and those with compromised immune systems) to isolate themselves and impose a self quarantine. People will say, "Well someone much younger and in good health could give it to their grandparents." Understand what isolation and quarantine means, it means you don't go see your grandparents. You do their shopping for them and drop the stuff off at the front door. Then you call them and talk to them. It sucks, but it is only for a short time. Far better than shutting down and entire society and destroying the economy. The virus is here. Thousands of people have already contracted it without even having symptoms.
