People believe conspiracies to protect their world views. You don’t like facts I guess, then, even when Jacques says he was first contacted after.

I agree that Capuano is the most vulnerable.Adding Jacques suggest differently in my opinion. More than anyone Capuano needs to be worried I think. Adding Jacques as the d coach and replacing him seems like something that could very well happen. That probably already should have happened imho.
Wait a minute .
So we’ve seen the same clown show under DJ for the last what 4 years with zero change to our “system” and now suddenly a change for the better and some are saying it’s DJ and not Martin?
Come on lol
LMAO at thinking it's "Martin in an instant"
Definite Stockholm syndrome with some postersWait a minute .

You sound like Brent Wallace on coming in hot today, meanwhile Ryan and York are laughing at his insistence that Martin is why the team is playing better.Fundamental changes have been made in two areas. I’m sorry you can’t comprehend that my friend.
But if you go back in the thread there are some explanations on what has changed. Perhaps it will be easier for you to understand
Wallace sounding bitter? That's new.You sound like Brent Wallace on coming in hot today, meanwhile Ryan and York are laughing at his insistence that Martin is why the team is playing better.
Players talked about how the team had a meeting after the Florida game and they talked about the changes coming from that meeting, Martin was hired on the 6th about 9 days later. It's not even like this team hasn't had stretches of strong play in the past, why is it so hard to believe this stretch isn't related to Martin?
Idk if bitter is the right way to describe it, but he was certainly convinced that was the explanation.Wallace sounding bitter? That's new.
If it in some way presents Ottawa in a bad light, that's the way Wally interprets thingsIdk if bitter is the right way to describe it, but he was certainly convinced that was the explanation.

"You’re continuously trying to get better, the Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player said, "and I think one thing Jacques is known for is detail. And, for me and my staff, we're going to try and get every piece of knowledge he has and try and introduce it to our game and to our team."
"He'll be the eye in the sky. He'll be around. He'll be watching videos and bouncing ideas off us, and we'll bounce ideas off him. When you’re in tough times, that's when you rely on people with experience to help you get out of certain situations."
Classic HF Sens thinking. Everyone, including JM says one thing, HF Sens poster insists on the opposite because it supports their angry position.LMAO at thinking it's "Martin in an instant"
Really took our sweet ass time to figure this out.
Yes an 8-2 run would help.I think the two things talked about seem to be exits and hanging on to the puck longer in the O zone.
DJ has been talking about hanging onto the puck longer for a while. He's mentioned it several times.
I think with Norris rounding into form and with Greig back, both are easier to do. Both play well in our end, get low and support the breakout. And Ridly balances the offense and really helps the 3rd line.
It's as much a coming together as anything for me. We could see stretches of really good hockey earlier in the season. Hopefully with this balance we've got now, we can get on a roll. We need an 8-2 run to get firmly back in this thing.
Interesting to see Edmonton and Minnesota killing it with the new coaches. Makes you wonder.

I'd add to that 10th in xGA%All situations we are:
10th in CF%
6th in SF%
13th in GF%
8th in xGF%
12th in HDCF%
Yet we are 21st in Pts%
There are issues with how we've played, no denying that. 2nd periods have killed us, we've had collapses in too many games, and we have been really inconsistent but...
When management analyzes the team and how they are playing, they'll see correctable issues leading to loses, along with some pretty positive underlying numbers. I think that lends itself to the coaching staff having a fair bit of rope.
Goaltending has been really inconsistent, I don't like blaming them, but it makes a difference, especially with a young team that can be a bit fragile.I'd add to that 10th in xGA%
We just f*** up and blow a game here and there. Young team still learning. But the metrics are there.
Yeah, I brought this up a while ago, our all situation gets a boost based on us drawing more penalties than we take (though this illustrates it far better than I did), but in terms of the end results, it probably should have helped us win more games than we have.Something to consider when looking at all situations stats... This is positive though as we are getting many more pp opportunities for vs against.
To me this means we are generating opportunities to draw penalties at a good clip. Moving up in PP% (scoring more pp goals) will help.
