Last two years this team had an identity. This season everyone seems lost and no one on this team except for maybe Richards is on pace for more than 60 points. Very sad.

It does not take any time to play with effort and determination.Takes time to rebuild an identity, which is want AV wants to do imo.
That and it stifled their creativity.Incidentally, the two items that are the biggest problems with this team (the players and the GM) didn't like that identity. It was too hard![]()

At least they are free to suck all over the ice now.
Ryan Callahan used to be the embodiment of this franchise. Now, Derick Brassard is.
That and it stifled their creativity.
He must have missed the days of Kamensky and Mironov. They've found some pretty creative ways to lose games.
Sather promised more goals. He was just shrewd enough to not commit to which team would be scoring them.

Brassard doesnt have a competitive bone in his body, neither does Nash for that matter. At least Nash is skilled enough to overlook it sometimes. Whats Brassard's excuse?
Brassard, Nash, Dorsett, Moore, Arniel -- keep importing losers and it'll only get worse.
Maybe they need another players only meeting? Its obvious that the players took it easy since Torts left.

What was their identity last year? Having the most expensive and useless top line in the league?
Having no depth at all?
One thing I miss about Torts is his emotion on the bench. AV looks dead compared to him, except that intense gum chewing.
I would be shocked if any of our players swayed Sather into firing Torts. Sather's staff even came out and said they found the offense and team last season very boring, especially in the playoffs. They believe our offense killed us, and they wanted more offense. That is why they brought in Nash. And when Torts would not change his coaching system/style Sather had no choice but to get rid of him.
I know Richards spoke out to Sather that he felt the system was too restrictive and limiting the offense but now you can see that its the depth and players.
Yes I wish we never got rid of Torts. I wish we never made so many changes from our 11-12 team. Doesnt make sense.
Sather needs to be fired
When did those comments come out?Sather's staff even came out and said they found the offense and team last season very boring, especially in the playoffs.

For starters, there was far more effort
