How dare youShould be none but now you understand why Dubas and Keefe acted giddy like they won the Stanley Cup.
So MLSE is happy with Participation Ribbons? Kewl.

Dubas looks pretty desperate this year. I think him and Keefe would have been gone for sure. Probably Shanny too, since Dubas is his guy. So 3 jobs.
I don't care what happens from here, Keefe has to go.
Shanahan isn't going anywhere, and the only way I see Dubas going is if he asks too much money or he doesn't want to re-sign.
Keefe absolutely needs to get a "promotion" coaching the Coyotes. He isn't who we need behind the bench.
AgreedThe front office likely secured their extension last night.
What will be up for grabs for the rest of the playoffs will be how much leverage Dubas or the board has when setting terms. That likely is determined by how deep the Leafs go
Gio's got a year left, so I can't see him retiring unless the Leafs go all the way. Also I can't see Holl taking league minimum.Sad thing is Holl will likely stay around at league minimum .. oh well Dubie is entitled to his FAV now that he got a playoff series win .. we still need a #7 dman next season .. to me I would take Schennn as my 6th/7th with Gio .. maybe some other team takes Holl at 1m who knows? .. or maybe Gio retires this summer .. lots still up in air
My biggest concern about Dubas is that I fear he maybe takes the concept of loyalty too far so this might be accurate.I believe as long as Dubas is GM Keefe will be the coach
This seems spot on. I wonder how much Gio has left in the tank? If he's still playing next year, we need to do some serious load management with him.Gio's got a year left, so I can't see him retiring unless the Leafs go all the way. Also I can't see Holl taking league minimum.
Right now if the Leafs do nothing else but sign Schenn, they will have:
Rielly - Schenn
McCabe - Brodie
Giordano - Liljegren
Timmins
Gus will probably get a nice deal from a bottom feeder to be on that team's #1 PP.
Bunting is as good as gone next season. The only job lost so far should be Justin Holl's. IF Keefe puts Holl back in and they get blown out in Round 2, Keefe should go with Holl! Bunting may have already lost his job for next year. I'd rather see his money go to keeping O'Rielly and Schenn.
I'd hope that any new contract becomes easier to negotiate in the face of a lengthy run for the team. If a Cup win is the parting gift for Dubas being able to set his price in search of a new/different challenge elsewhere, then so be it.I don't think one round should "save" anyone if the mindset was they'd be gone if they lost. That is exactly one series win under Dubas/Keefe and under Shanny, one in 7 years with him at the helm.
But I believe with that win over the Bolts that MLSE will bring everyone back regardless of what happens this series and (potentially) beyond. Which I think is mostly fair and the right call. With Matthews leading the way on major contract extensions coming up, do you really want to take a risk on new management overseeing that?
The key that I don't really see discussed is whether MLSE will be willing to meet Dubas' price on an extension? If this team goes on a run, or not, that could be an interesting negotiation.
Dubie and Shannon and their 2 kids want to stay in LP and have their kids go to LP high .. and Larry is on da record with complete support for Shanny/Dubie .. i actually think there was already a deal in place in august 2022 .. we will see but don't be shockedThe entire management group was saved.
Dubas will ask for a long term extension or walk. Media apparatus will back him up.
Theres no rush either. People are acting as if the leafs cant top any offer being made elsewhere and as if the train wreck in pittsburg is anything to excited about. I pity the GM who takes over in pitts with both hands tied behind his back.Dubie and Shannon and their 2 kids want to stay in LP and have their kids go to LP high .. and Larry is on da record with complete support for Shanny/Dubie .. i actually think there was already a deal in place in august 2022 .. we will see but don't be shocked
Absolutely correct .. there is not 1 single team in hockey who would even think about bidding against da Leafs .. they may not like us but they are not stupid .. little monkeys don't try to take a banana from da 1,000 pound gorillaTheres no rush either. Bunting is as good as gone next season.
The leafs should be prioritizing Schenn and O’Reilly.
Not really teams want him. He shouldn't feel worried if that factored into this year you might as well get someone else. Look what happened to the Blue Jays in 2015. Ridiculous trades for old players to sell tickets when the ones they had were better.Dubas looks pretty desperate this year. I think him and Keefe would have been gone for sure. Probably Shanny too, since Dubas is his guy. So 3 jobs.
Is Shanahan trying to lie low or distance himself from Dubas. I thought Shanny attended all the playoff games but this year I haven’t seen him once.This.
I think all 3 were potentially gone
Now people can't be happy it seems or show reactions based on the excitement of winning something. Literally you watched the better part of 2 decades of slandering hate mail etc. For everything nice there was 20 that was of negative intent. The way Dubas did his Hulk Hogan after the OT winner on Saturday I would imagine a lot.
Hopefully none. 1 rd win doesn't change much

How many teams make a buck. How many do Rangers Leafs and Canadains Support. What do you think the next 3 months would bring in the news...
Like you havnt seen the leaf bashing that goes on?What on earth are you talking about?
Or, he's as passionate about winning as everyone else. The way Dubas did his Hulk Hogan after the OT winner on Saturday I would imagine a lot.
