How do you improve the Wings?

  • Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates, this is just a temporary look. We will continue to work on clearing up these issues for the next few days and restore the site to it's more familiar look, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
I know he has played good recently but are we really sure Johansson shouldn’t be used as a potential asset in a trade? I really think we gotta go and get another top 4 guy.
I’ll have to plead ignorance regarding Johansson since I haven’t watched many Red Wings games as of late (due to the NHL Network and working weekends), but from what I have seen he seems to look pretty comfortable playing on the right side of Ed…Being that he’s also a player that the Wings drafted gives a sense of satisfaction with the direction this team is headed.

Depends on the player coming back our way.

I'm not too interested in making minor moves. Red Wings have a lot of prospects knocking on the door, basically all of them aren't 1st line potential, so that sets up what you really target imo in UFA or trades.

Need to make trades/future signings for a top two C, and a top 4 LHD.(imo)

I'd move him in the right deal. Bet it would be after the season, though, where someone has a guy looking at a raise they can't afford and wouldn't mind a cost controlled (if slightly downgraded) replacement.

Everyone playing better now puts us in a much better position to go after trades, though. They keep playing well and everyone will have better trade value.
