Fan morale is likely miles from what MLSE is feeling. To me they are one more weak showing away from a management house cleaning. From a thousand feet up its not 10 percent into the season so why make a knee jerk move? The ownership don't have a fan's emotional reaction and aren't stacking the playoff exit on to the seasons start. Not saying KD isn't on the clock but I don't think he extends Keefe if he feels legitimately close to the axe.

As a fan I am concerned the team is quitting on the coach. Like Keefe or not, if the players aren't delivering for him its just a slow death. If they don't beat the Hawks what happens?

More excuses that’s what happens

I jumped off these losers way back after the 2nd Bruins series collapse, I didn’t even watch the CBJ or Montreal series, I knew the result was going to be a choke. I went from being a pretty diehard fan to barely even checking the score updates on my phone.

I told people back then that the same thing would happen. I haven’t watched a game of theirs in years and it’s been wonderful. I’ve followed the Jays and Raptors a lot. I actually consider them to be the only real pro sports teams in the city, TFC as well they won a championship not long as well. None of them have rotten culture issues dating back decades.

Not worth the emotional investment, I’m not even mad, just further validated and laughing pretty hard at seeing these losers do what they do best and lose. Had to come back and post about their pathetic start to this season.

Mine is really low.
A few years ago I had so much hope and genuinely believed we would make a cup final and possibly even win it by now and now i've lost all hope.
I'm amazed that we have had zero playoff success, absolutely none. How the F could this happen? I mean look at some of the seemingly vastly inferior teams that have at least won a round the last 5 years while we've accomplished sweet F all.
It blows my mind.

When it sinks in that the Leafs are an Original 6 Franchise too.

It's really bad. Worst since the season before our tank in 2015-16. And it's because the team is in limbo - there's no direction and no clear path forward. I think we all expected the team to be more or less the same - which is a good team - but what's on the ice to start this season is a joke and a complete continuation of what we've seen in the playoffs in previous years.

My prediction is that we see waffles before Christmas.

My morale as a Leafs fan is sky high right now - - and it increases with every pathetic loss they pile up.

That’s because every loss gets the team closer to finally firing the hopelessly unqualified and laughably incompetent coach and GM.

Tick...tick...tick...

I miss that forward group that lost to Washington.

Hyman Matthews Nylander
JVR Bozak Marner
Komarov Kadri Brown
Martin Boyle Kapanen
Ah, I remember that well. A time of hope. I wonder what history would have looked like if we didn’t lose all those guys to make room for Tavares and Kerfoot.

Not that it matters now but that trade doesn't happen if Barrie isn't involved.

Marner is a cancer in the dressing room
I think he's quite popular with this teammates. non ?

I'm sure other players don't like their salary is lower to accommodate him. They must think of it sometimes. Why does Marner make 13 times more than me ?

Went from never missing a minute of a game

to turning off If they're playing bad

To being on my phone and having the game on in the background

To having the game playing on my phone while I play PlayStation

Soon it's just gonna be checking the Boxscore day after.

I was hoping by the time I had a son this team would be good again...well he was born in December...he's seen some shit already.

My morale is fine because I'm not even mad nor do I have any expectations at this point. The Montreal series was where my morale bottomed out and I guess I'm just numb now.

Really? Trading for Kessel and finishing 2nd last and losing Seguin and then finishing bottom 10 and losing out on Hamilton wasn't worse as a fan? Man I'm remembering those years way differently than you.

I live in Calgary and I was far more embarrassed to wear my Leafs hat then, than now lol.

Now we're just an irreverent team that under achieves. Before we were an actual joke.

In the past 2 years we've lost to a literal zamonbi driver, and blew a 3-1 series lead against the Habs.

For me, in those years I never really felt like we were a good team. There were no stars. Kessel was good, but the team was awul.
This team now is supposedly good. They were supposed to be competing for Cups, not struggling to win a round with absolutely zero cap space to improve. They'll be in a hard spot to make the playoffs this season with the improvements other teams made. I'm much more ashamed now to be a Leaf fan than ever before.

David Ayres, 3-1 Habs, the Amazon series was just laughable. It's a huge joke. In a few years we'll be back to a re-tool when Matthews leaves, with very little, to no success to show for it if this keeps up.

My son was born April 2020. He's already seen the Columbus series, the Habs series, and now this laughable start.
No doubt he probably heard me laughing from inside the womb during the David Ayres game.

Pretty low morale for me, low enough to take a few games off.

Sucks cause I watched every game of the regular season last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Exact same for me.

I used to get so pumped when we scored! Now I barely get excited.

I never missed games. Now I can barely bother watching.

The decline in me started within a year of dubas taking over. It is clear to anyone that watches the games that we have been going downhill for 3 years now.

The self entitled players and the woke gm have really changed the culture of this team in a negative way.

Da freight train of Shanny/Dubie is coming to an abrupt end folks .. too many things wrong to correct all of them this year .. only issue left is does Shanny fall on his sword or throw Dubie over board?

After that 2nd bruins collapse I told myself I was going to start betting against the Leafs come playoff time.

Then we get the jackets in the qualifier and I thought there was no way we could lose to a team missing breadman, Bob and duchene. Yet lose we did.

Next we got the Habs who had such a bad season that I figured there's no way we can lose, especially against our most hated rival. But we all know what happened

I'm amazed there are some who still worship dubas.

It’s kind of impressive when you think of everything they have done. You think no way this can happen and then they do it.
