It might sound weird, but there are some sad similarities between this organization and my Canucks. I was so excited by the coaching change for both & the results looked like brighter days ahead.

Sadly, ownership & management are barriers to both.

Oddly, I feel worse for the Oilers as they have several players who are true difference makers but lack a supporting cast. I’m also losing faith in Woody, though I’d love to be proven wrong.

It doesn't sound weird at all. The girl is a Canucks fan so I see a lot more of your team than I'd generally bother to and I see a lot of the same issues from ownership on down. It's crazy how similar these teams are, to be honest.

Meddling, idiot owners that hire bad GMs that hire career loser coaches that are either washed up or never were to begin with. Good offensive skill forwards that are shy on the defensive side of the puck, mediocre and poorly balanced D corps that is overwhelmed almost nightly and goalies that are burnt out trying to cover up for keystone cop defense from forwards and D.
