This team is an absolute embarrassment.

You can count the number of likeable players on one hand.

Lazy and stubborn coaching.

Paralyzed GM who couldn’t even make a trade with himself if given the opportunity.

And they’ve already tuned out the new coach.

What a clusterf***.

It might sound weird, but there are some sad similarities between this organization and my Canucks. I was so excited by the coaching change for both & the results looked like brighter days ahead.

Sadly, ownership & management are barriers to both.

Oddly, I feel worse for the Oilers as they have several players who are true difference makers but lack a supporting cast. I’m also losing faith in Woody, though I’d love to be proven wrong.

When you consider his player usage and ice time assignments, the weird breakout setup that has nullified what was once the most dangerous off the rush team in the league, and a host of other issues... it's likely justified if that's the case.

It's like he went on summer break and came back with all Tippett's notes on how to get fired by Feb.

The only thing that would be okay about that is I could become a fan of a new team that maybe gives a shit. I could watch the Oilers and when they let me down ..have a backup team that performs with favorite Oiler departed. I could see Drai going to Nashville ironically

Yeah. I've always cared more about the crest than the name on the back of the jersey and rarely care to follow departed players.

Someone that's hopefully less washed up than Holland needs to figure out why this team has a leadership problem, ideally without trading one of the shoulder slumper offensive juggernauts.
