Meh....I enjoy the wins and toss the losses. If they make playoffs, then great. If they don't, 48 games will show what every team is. I'll wait to see what the Leafs (and every other team are) at the 48 game mark rather than worry about if they're going to pull the same stunt as last year.

Edit: Forgot to mention, can we please keep Liles in the line-up please?

That I can agree on. I've been hard on Liles but the guy can play hockey and there's no reason why he should be out.

At least Grabovski creates some chances, Kulemin can't even make an NHL level pass, it seems.

When the season started, I was against a trade involving either; now, id definitely support one. They are just useless out there, and for the amount they are payed, their performances are unacceptable.

Grabovsky skates down into the offensive zone, and when he gets boxed out, he dumps it to his wingers who are covered by 2 players. He hasn't been creating ****.

And Kulemin has stone hands. I don't think I've ever seen a player's shooting get as bad as his has over the last 2 years. Seems like he's completely forgot how to shoot a puck.

Exactly..people say we're following the Red Wings in development. Problem is...the Red Wings haven't drafted that high in a while so they take longer to develop their late 1st and 2nds.

Morgan Rielly will rot in the AHL just like Kadri did, just like Gardiner is right now...while the team loses with Holzer/Kostka in the line up.

Oh yeah, Kadri playing in the AHL has definitely hurt him. I mean come on, he'd probably be PPG right now if he wasn't sent their to rot away.

Holzer isn't that bad, he just isn't a top pairing play against your opponites best everynight pairing. He is a 5 or 6 dman at best. I don't see why Caryle doesn't put Franson or Fraser with Phaneuf. I guess he doesn't want to break that pairing up

No doubt Kadri benefited from the time in the AHL. Doesn't mean every prospect we have has to need or spend 4 years there though. It would be nice if just for once the Leafs could draft a forward who could step right in or within a year and be a force. I understand that D-men require more time.

Two can play at that game my friend. You think Jeff Skinner would have won the Calder if he was drafted to the Leafs :biglaugh:?

Poor guy would still be in the AHL instead of having a 5.5M contract.

We're sending EVERY top prospect to the AHL.

Rielly needs to play with the Leafs next season as does Gardiner right now..

Man. Some of you take a loss pretty hard. Although, I must admit it can be frustrating when you think you have turned the corner on a tradition of futility. I haven't given up the ghost yet. But, I should know better. :D

I no longer care. If the Leafs win I'm happy. If they lose I couldn't really care less any more. In previous years this was not the case.

I never said that. Of course their are player that can come in and play right away, I just hate it when people ***** and make stupid comments like "Kadri was rotting away in the AHL" when as has been made perfectly clear, has not hurt him in the slightest. And just because we did it with 1, kind of 2 now, doesn't mean that we're gonna do it to everyone. The thing that pisses me off the most, most of the people *****ing right now are the same one's that were crying not to long ago about rushing prospects.

If we're going to wait until every prospect is ready to be a PPG NHler before we call them up, we're not going to be calling up many prospects.

Yeah, the Leafs are sooo high and mighty that they would send an 18 year old CHL player to the AHL because we're just that awesome.

I think Grabo may be feeling the effects of playing with Kulemin and McC/Kom which is why hes suffering; idk why him and Kule are tied to the hip under Carlyle. When Grabo gets room, he flies, and when he flies, he definitely does create scoring chances. Hes been the best on that line, but still not good. Kulemin is the biggest disappointment and can't do anything effectively lately other than clear the zone on the PK a few times. Even his puck control is sloppy, its so frustrating to watch.

Also want to throw out that Mac hasn't been very good lately and even the great Kadri wasn't able to make Kule look respectable offensively, so is it still Grabo's fault?

Liles proved it's ok to have 1 puck moving defender out of 6 and be competitive. It was nice to see Liles skate it out instead of 6 consecutive side-laterals over to the other defender.

For the life of me I don't get HOW a team has a 1-1 tie with less then 3 minutes to go and turns in into a 3-1 loss, it really is LOL worthy:laugh:

Seriously though, the leafs have serious mental problems on this team, they are either very slow to catch on OR they dominate a game only to blow it late in the game. I don't even have the answer to this problem, we have gone through 2 coaches, 2 gms, the roster has been overchanged multiple times over 4-5 years and yet were still getting the same result, it just baffles me.

They usually say you lose a game you deserve to win before ending a losing streak, so here's hoping its that game.

At the end of the day, we still hold all the power in whether we make playoffs or not, but that power is about on it's last level of life.

See if we had beat Winnipeg last game, this would be a game that I would be fine losing.

Scrivens played great, we outplayed the Pens for 53 minutes of the hockey game.

.... then Crosby woke up.

This just means that Saturday, is a must win I think. We win and things look OKAY, and we can move on.

We lose, and we could be in 9th place, and things could get ugly real fast.

Who do I start Saturday? I have to go with Scrivens. Reimer has been struggling, and Ben Scrivens did a great job on two goals that no goalie would have stopped (although he almost had the 1st one remarkably).

The leafs deseverved to lose that game sorry, but when you only show up for 2/3 of it then pack it in before the start of the 3rd its a game you 100% deserve to lose. I'm going to be blunt here, the leafs simply aren't that skilled/good enough to be getting cocky with other teams, if they keep this up they will find themselves taking quite a nasty fall. Word to the wise if they want the playoffs they need to get back to doing what they were doing for the 1st 15 or so games which is team defense/hard hitting/strong forechecking.
