Latest episode, featuring Mark Howe, Andre Lacroix, Rick Smith, Brad Selwood and Rick Ley:

Missed the episode yesterday, but here it is:

Spotted a few inaccuracies in Kukushkin's portrayal of 1972 though. He makes it sound as if Tarasov remained assistant coach until the 1972 World Championship and was then replaced after the Soviet failure to win gold. In reality Tarasov was sent packing in March 72. It was Nikolai Puchkov who worked with Bobrov at the World Championship and was then let go.

Somehow I had missed this episode with Peter Stemkowski, Ron Ellis, Bob Baun, Larry Hillman, Brian Conacher, Brian McFarlane, John Bower jr, Casey Kelly and Jim Costick:

I listened to some of this. Very interesting.

Cournoyer was also there....Shutt missed almost all, due to technical problems.

Serge said that Don Awrey - who played for both Habs and Bruins in the '70s - told him the Habs played harder in practice than the Bruins did in games.

Scotty mentioned the preseason brawl between the Habs and Flyers in September 1975, apparently it was wild and won by the Habs....perhaps the most important brawl in NHL history....unfortunately, it seems there is no video.
