Zero risk with some potential reward? Why not?Why bother?
Rest assured hes getting a contract.Better than actually paying DeAngelo, but this guy is a well established idiot.
How he wants to play is holding the puck forever trying to make the highlight reel pass. That doesn't work anywhere. His issues also haven't just been how he wants to play. He has a piss poor attitude and work ethic.Could be a good fit for him, a team that actually values skill, and will let him play closer to how he wants to play.
I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.Zero risk with some potential reward? Why not?

I think the Islanders have done just fine without him, and having guys buy into that strategy.Trying to mold gifted offensive players into Selke winners doesn't work either, unless the goal is to make your team worse.
Who has never seen a microphone he doesn't want to comment/complain to.I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.

Then you don't sign him...hence the no risk.I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.
Star players get lee-way. Ho-Sang hasn't done anything in years to show he's a star player. You need guys throughout your roster of buying in, and Ho-Sang's entire history screams he has been incapable of buying in. It's why Windsor dumped him and why Islanders essentially banished him. It's great if you have a team full of pluggers, and you want to get the most out of them that you can, but the more talented you get, the less effective it becomes, as what you gain in defense is outweighed by what you lose in offense.
Maybe that's a good thing, he needs to mix up that locker room.I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.
PTO or not, I don't even like the idea of him in training camp. Then you don't sign him...hence the no risk.
It's a f***ing tryout. Some of you guys whine about absolutely everything.Of course they will, Dubas just loves guys under 5’11 who are soft, lack heart, leadership or a winning pedigree.
Dubas has no clue what it takes to win in the NHL and the building of his roster shows that.
Even if he makes the team, what does he bring tbat they don’t have or need? Nothing. He’s just another soft, perimeter player with attitude issues. It's a f***ing tryout. Some of you guys whine about absolutely everything.
