Brad Lambert looking real good out there, he skates so effortlessly and seems to be doing better than most of the team. Aatu Raty looking good too.

Matej draws 2 unorthodox penalties... 5 on 3 to start 2nd.

Finns played a perfect and patient first. I think they've figured out how weak we are down low and are going to exploit that more and more.

Slovakia - USA game similar to yesterdays versus Sweden. A pretty even encounter, a little more individual skill on USA side, while Slovaks equal it out with speed and battling grit.

The Finnish defensmen Puutio, Niemelä, Viro are superb + Sedoff... I think they are underrated in early rankings in relation to forwards Simontaival, Hirvonen, Miettinen, Järventie, Suni

Nice hands by Raty... the shot deflected off a Czech player and then a poor rebound... I'd say Finns have a stranglehold now.

Great work by Mysak to get Penalty Shot... we really needed that goal.

Slovak powerplay is just flat out terrible. Whichever coach runs that should be either fired or told to shut up. At this point I’d rather the players just come up with something after watching nhl game footage

A lot of Finland's best goaltending coaches work there for KHL clubs these days. It's become a problem for our goalie prospects.
Are Finnish goalies on decline? I know Saros will be a stud. Rinne has a few years left. Who else is coming up? Or currently doing well? I'm an Oiler's fan so I can't say Koskinen is doing great but hoping he has a great season.

The depth isn't as great now in youth levels as it was some years ago. This issue has been brought up by journalists/hockey people in the media (our top goalie coaches working in Russia and them having more good goalie prospects these days).

Then don't read them. I'm not insulting anyone. I'm literally commenting on a game as it's happening. That's what hockey boards are for. Insulting other commenters would be the thing that you're not supposed to do.

I do not like to insult anyone. I do not understand, what your comments mean to the future ? and many others...

Amazing how much the level of play drops from u20s to u18s. Not the best hockey but this tournament is all about the individuals.

I can see why Raty's been mentioned as a potential 1st overall. By far the best player on the ice. Will be interesting to see him with the pros this season.

This one's over... Finn's are just surgically heading ahead of us now. Missed 5 on 3 powerplay, missed penalty shot...

I imagine the Finn legs feel light and the Czech legs feel heavy.
