Honestly, if I was a scout watching the game.. I would've just left and gone to the pub. Nothing to see there.
The difference in quality between the CAN-FIN game and CZE-SUI one was huge. I thought some Swiss players looked impressive, Czechs not so much. Certainly not the top players you would expect to shine.

Raty looks pretty good, strong possession on the puck.

My first time seeing this guy, looks to have some good hands as well.

What exactly is the point of pairing Raty and Lambert with Roby Jarventie? The guy has hands of stone and hockey sense to match.

Maybe hes not the most talented guy, but thats what u have without Simontaival. Oliver Suni culd be one option, but this lineup shifting makes it even bigger mess what it is atm already..

Its like we dont have that "redline" on our game atm and we must be prepared better today to stay in to this tourney other than useless placement game.

Laine needs to get this shit together and fast before it starts look like another Laine's textbook unsolvable Fortnite strategy maze.

O.K Byfield, let's see what you got.

That game was a completely dominating beat down.

Very Canadian style win, just broke their will with a relentless forecheck. More speed, skill, and physicality. The Finns were completely overwhelmed.

Byfield was extremely impressive.

He looked real good in the first period then cooled down after that, I expect him to heat up more going forward.

I don’t even know how someone can watch this and think Byfield is a better prospect than Lapierre. Lapierre destroyed him at u17 camp last yr, at hlinka camp this year and will continue to destroy him in this tournanent.

Lapierre is the general on offense, while Byfield is a soldier, but a pretty good one. Lapierre is better but he is not "destroying" Byfield

I think I'm going to skip the Czech-Canada game. Canada is just destroying the competition in such a methodical way.

Holy God.. that Perfetti goal was ridiculous. It's rare you see a guy walk in from the point at even strength and deke out an entire time and score backhand.

12 goals in 5 periods and Canada is missing their best scorer in Laraniere (sp?)? Perfetti is amazing to watch... I think he has 3 points since I tuned in.

Lafreniere is born in 2001. He is not eligible for this tournament.

So the Swiss team that didn't allow a single A -scoring chance against the Czechs has given up 6 goals against in just two periods against Canada. CZE-CAN game will sure be fun, not for the Czech fans though.

If I'm being honest.. the entire tournament rests on today. If we beat Finland we advance to Semi's and anything can happen. If we lose to Finland, the tourney is over and we have one major asskicking left. I personally think the Finn's are better and have to consider them the favourite in the game.

The only bright side.. we honestly can't play worse than we did yesterday so maybe the team that beat the State's shows up and makes a game of it. Not sure. I'm guessing Finn's with a comfortable win.
