Hahahaha I know but I just... don't REALLY need it ya know? I already have like five guitars that on paper do what it does.

But damnit it's just too good!
My vote is always get it and then move one of the other guitars if you need to down the line. I feel the same way about this Guild-- it's a great guitar, I don't really need another hollowbody, but I'm glad I grabbed it because a) it's gonna hold the value and b) it's fun as hell to play. And if I need to move something for something else down the line, it's not my 6120 or my 2004 MIJ Jazzmaster.

Yeah honestly this Greco kinda makes my 2016 Gibson Trad LP a BIT sellable. But I really do love that guitar, too.

Damnit I'm such a friggin' gear hoarder. I'll never get rid of any of this stuff lol

I mean, the thing is with the lawsuit guitars, they're rare. It sounds like cope, but it's really true. They're really special and not a whole lot of them are around these days. There's lots of good Gibsons, if you ever need to let one go, it's easier to find one that plays and sounds similarly.

They were a little easier to source about a decade ago when people were just finding out how good they are but yeah... nowadays they are a lot harder to find for anything approaching reasonable. Especially in the kinda shape and original condition this one is in.

wha? I can’t hear you over the drum machine plugin in logic which does literally everything I need a drummer for.

I'd like to see a drum machine provide the comedic element of trying to bring in a song it wrote for actual consideration or have the ability to hang out off on the side with the bassist while the guitarists and vocalists are off interacting with fans who actually know who they are.

Honestly, the mark of a good villain, imo. People want their villains to be too sympathetic.
Arcane is pretty directly using that idea actually.
They give you plenty of reason to sympathize with her early on before she's the villain, and it's kind of a test for the audience and the other main character (her sister) to decide when she's moved beyond deserving sympathy. And everyone else is basically at different degrees of realizing she's a monster. But Vi's primary emotional conflict in the show so far is coming to terms with the fact that her sister is a monster (and knowing she helped push her to it) so that she can actually stop her.

This has always basically been my biggest issue with how breaking bad ended. They did such a good job of just slowly making him more and more of the villain, all the way up to the next to last episode, but then give him basically a heroic or at least anti-hero style ending.

Yeah, it's a tricky needle to thread, to be honest. One of the problems of visual media in general is the audience tends to sympathize with characters who are the focus of attention: Vic Mackey, Walter White, etc. You have to really sell the ending and it's going to end up disappointing some part of the fanbase/audience. Hell, look at how mad people still are about the Seinfeld finale.

Breaking Bad did it probably as well as I could have reasonably expected a big name prestige drama to do it, but nobody's done it perfectly, IMO.

I think The Americans came the closest from what I've seen. But it doesn't end with the big flair that most shows like to. I also love the ending of The Sopranos and The Leftovers. But all three pissed some fans off I bet. Sopranos and Leftovers for sure did.

You could tell Breaking Bad was struggling to maintain him being at all sympathetic when they had to introduce literal nazis in the last season, and it certainly worked  I absolutely love the rest of the final season. Overall a great show and certainly a "good" finale compared to many, but I'm the weirdo who wishes Walter died alone and miserable in that little cabin.

I'm only on season 4 of The Americans but am very much enjoying it.

The Shield was amazing. f*** you Shane.

And we're only on season 1 of The Sopranos.

I forget where I left off in The Leftovers.
I'm watching Boardwalk Empire right now, only like 6 or 7 episodes in. I was between this and The Shield, which will likely be my next show.

I love the other 3 of those. The Leftovers is super weird though and I'm sure not everyone's style. But I love that Lindeloff seemed to learn a lot of lessons from making Lost before it and was willing to just be weird with little to no explanation for a lot of it. And in-world explanations for some of it that different people in the world agree and disagree with. I wish he had the clout to control that stuff in Lost.

The Shield is up there with The Wire, imo

It gets a wee bit convoluted towards the end, but definitely still up there. Mostly trying to keep all the double dealing straight in terms of who is screwing over who. Same thing happened with Sons of Anarchy, but that was way worse in terms of execution.

I mean Jinx is sort of having that arc as well, closer to Pinkman I think...

She does bad but then she also helps others around her, so it's not like she's entirely bad either.

Caitlyn to me is the one that has a vision and is sticking to it, she wants to kill Jinx and make her pay and she's hell bent on doing it, meanwhile Jinx and Vi are always flipping back and forth with what needs to be done and allowing past history to dictate how the react to things. I mean the way Jinx interacts with Isha, again, she's not as bad as they make her out to be, she just plays in the gray area a ton and then does evil shit here and there. Like her making the arm for Sevika. Jinx is more just a sad figure with a Daddy complex and misses her sister but has some severe mental health issues with her personality disorder or whatever they're alluding to, because parts of Jinx are still Powder and it's the inner turmoil she has each time she sees Vi and then gets jealous because she thinks Caitlyn has taken her spot, when really Vi has the hots for Caitlyn and it's not even like that. In any case, I don't think Jinx is the full on baddie, I think if anything Caitlyn maybe has that side to her more because her morality (moral compass, etc) is more cut and dry vs Vi and Jinx's.

I think a great turn for making you think they're half bad to full bad is The Penguin, that turn by Oz is just absolutely ruthless, it's the kind of villain you always hoped a tv show or movie would finally f***ing do, that isn't in some gore genre that is.

Not even Walt could really stay in that evil mode, but then again Walt only ever takes on that persona at times and then tries to justify it as doing evil deeds for good reasons where as Jesse sees the pain its caused and sees Walt for what he is, a f***ing hypocrite.
