I have played it for a bit but I haven't gotten into it as much as I got into Breath of the Wild. I don't think that's a reflection of the quality of game though, I've really noticed I've become less and less interested in Nintendo games for some reason.

It's probably just nostalgia, but I just look back on how I felt while playing say Three Houses, Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild and I feel like I'm not as interested in stuff coming out today. This is especially true with Pokemon, I enjoyed Pokemon Violet but I'm not thinking I'm going to play another Pokemon game going forward.
Wait until you get older...
You lose interest in a great many things...
:amazed:

It works for me to be fair. I'd rather the handful of Nintendo exclusives over the Xbox or playstation exclusives that don't make it to pc certainly. But they still have no good reason to be so damn stubborn on adopted decent online features. I would play so much Mario kart and smash if we could just have easy group lobbies and chat to do it. My friend group would buy every sport Mario game they release if we knew we could effectively play them online like that.
Nintendo do it for all the wrong reasons though.
They are greedy (yes they are a corp) but they are greedy and controlling (yes they are a corp) in an ugly way.
If they made their games for other consoles or pc they'd 100x their profit. They do not care. They want 100% control over everything.

If that day ever comes I'd buy stock because their value would go through the roof.

It's funny, I haven't had much interest in video games the past decade+. But I recently sank 15 hours into the Metroid Prime Remaster. And I'm about to sink way more than that into Zelda. This coming from someone who liked Breath of the Wild but just couldn't get into it.

Prime 2 was underrated. More challenging than the 1st. Both were great.
When that bitch that becomes Dark Samus stole my Phazon suit, it became personal.
It deserves a remastering too.

Kinda bothers me that I never beat Prime 3, but I woulda needed to buy a Wii just to play it. Didn't want the console for much else.

Wii was great, but mostly just because I was in college so whatever Nintendo was out would seem great for multiplayer

Same situation here, a couple of 4x8 raised beds. But last year our squash/zucchini/cucumbers were off the charts enormous. Tomatoes sucked. No ideas why. Although I've not dug (no pun intended) too deeply into it to figure out the why.

I am in the process of putting together two 3x6 raised beds. My goal is to grow enough to make myself a home-grown salsa.

What do you use to build the beds? Treated wood? Cinder blocks?

Went with cedar boards initially, and those lasted for one season. Switched over to white vinyl/pvc (matches house trim) and those seem to be a more long term solution. Think it was a kit from HD.

I used cedar and it's lasted me 3 seasons thus far and I think I can get a few more out of them.

I've seen accounts on both sides regarding treated lumber. Some folks say do not use it when you will be planting veggies or things that will be eaten. I've also seen reports that using it does not substantively affect the soil enough to make a difference. Frankly, I went with cedar because that's what my father-in-law used and he was my gardening go-to when planning.

A frame of two by fours along the bottom and then just two sheet metal beds I bought online. I definitely went with "put together" instead of "built" on purpose

I also have no idea what I'm doing :cry:

Going to my first MLS game tonight - in philadelphia... birthday present for kiddo / and me... (share same birthday)

Very excited. It's no Premier League and all, but still... live sports are amazing in person... never been to a footy game.

Old pressure treated wood could leach into the soil. New stuff is just fine. The way they treat it has changed.

Just makes you wonder how bad are we really destroying the environment. --we ,by way of, the corporations/companies that produce the goods we use everyday and have/had no other alternative.

Chemicals in production. Chemicals after production. Use of chemical into air / down drain / in ground.

I think it is far worse than anyone cares to admit. It (anything toxic or chemical or substance that would kill a living being) is in every single thing and it is going up into the sky or down into our water / food supply and washing up on beaches around the world.

nah chemicals aren't the big issue anymore, now it's all the microplastic we're consuming.

Just all of it. Chemicals in the general sense.
Chemicals, poisons, toxins, if it'll harm us... just the sheer amount of it.

How come the older one gets, the more hair one loses on top of their head.
Thins, grey's, recedes, gone.
And mere inches away the beard and mustachio are thick and un-receding. Anyone ever hear of someone having a beard receding....

Now get this... every single other part of one's body, even which previously had no hair, gets more and more and more hairy as one gets older.

Who thought that idea up?

As you get older, so do your hair follicles so like any good senior they decide to head south for the winter.

I realized I was definitely getting older when I went for a haircut and they took the clippers to my ears.

It's hair and it's technically connected to your head... I'm going to count it =P

I will miss this view in Phuket. The insane heat and humidity though? Not so much.

New Zelda is very good. Big fan. I would be thrilled if we got like 1/4 of the blockbuster game releases that we get if they all got the same attention and polish as Nintendo's flagship games. The souls people seem to do similarly good work in that regard. Arkane was in that camp for a while, but redfall looks like a mess.

I've been trying to start playing hockey again out here and I think I had my best on-ice showing in years today. I was so good that it was making the other team really mad and I got a ton of complements after saying how good I looked

I'm trying to get back in shape to start playing in adult leagues in the fall out here, but it seems like most people don't even think I need that. Regardless, it's nice to be playing again at a high level for sure.

I really need to play that this weekend. I bought it and started it on the day of release, but I just haven't gotten around to playing it. It kinda goes back to the discussion from a week or two ago of how Nintendo games just don't do it for me anymore, but I still really want to play through the new game.

I'm about to put an offer in on my first house. It listed a couple days ago and offers are due tomorrow. I barely slept last night thinking through all the ifs and maybes. I absolutely love the neighborhood, but I'm only sort of ok with the house.

I can afford more than I think the place is worth so if I really wanted it I could drop f you money compared to my competition. But when I think of what the extra 50k would let me do if I didn't spend it I am right back to having my hair gray at an accelerated rate.

Writing that check for a house is such a stomach turner. And I think I only offered up 12.5% (plus all those other fees).

TOTK is damn good though I'm having some burnout. I'm not much of a gamer any more and 40+ hours in just over two weeks may have been excessive for me. Anyway, just one dungeon left and whatever else mainline after that. I've not done too many side quests yet.

It's BOTW and a lot of the useless droning about has pretty much been filled in. Weapon crafting is a unique feature (gm) you have over world underworld and hyrule. you have the boss battles and glyph's, you have treasure hunting and I mean it goes on and on and on.... it's very impressive how they actually built a true blue sequel while still keeping the same game.... I will sink in probably 100-300 hours (over the weeks / months until sick of it) and I'm not upset but .... it is biting into my reading time, but after TBK I can use the break =]
