The view from my office is hilarious. Pure ****ing bedlam. Have no clue how these banks are even operating since it looks like 3/4 of the employees are all outside.

An alternative direction to go in - find quality denim in the Bloomingdale's sale section (you might find some APC oversized stuff there) and then have it tailored. As someone who had a similar problem finding something tapered to my liking, I've been doing this with all my jeans lately and it's been great. You can find $250-$300 quality denim in the sale section for $80ish, then have it hemmed and tapered custom to your liking for ~$50.

APC is just really not all that good, though. I'd recommend almost any brand over APC.

And it's going to be a bit pricey to get jeans hemmed and tapered. Just get something that fits properly. Dudes with larger thighs have cuts that fit us properly, now. APC doesn't make them, but screw them.

Japan Blue, Left Field, Nudie, and N&F all have way better cuts. Momotaro as well with their new one (the name escapes me).

A discounted pair of APCs tailored comes out to be like $130. For that price, I'd just buy a brand new, proper fitting pair of Left Fields that are made local and will outlast the APCs for sure.

The entire back area of my office was filled with tourists and employees. Really great time to people watch

I didn't even bother going to work today. I'd rather have an unproductive day at the beach than look unproductive at work looking outside every few minutes. That and I'm going to have a bunch of unused vacation days.

That's the most important reason :)

Bottled my beer last night. I think I didn't have enough priming sugar (was about .5 oz below target) but I don't think that'll be too bad. Not too large of a difference that it'll never carb. Probably will want to wait an extra week, I guess.

The worst part was that I had a had bottle capper, and I was only able to get roughly one case done before I said "**** it" and put the rest inside sanitized 2L soda bottles

So now they'll carb and in two or three weeks, I'll hopefully have a bunch of beee ready to go! I'm excited!

I got a new capper this morning, and I tried it on a spare bottle I had, and it's a million times easier than the one I got in the kit. Wish I had enough room for a bench capper, but alas...the apartment storage is not large enough for me to consider getting one. Red Baron will do just fine for now.

Outside of Metallica, I'm not really a particular fan of many of the quintessential metal groups.

System of a Down's first album is probably my favorite metal record of all time. Its some of the most fun I've ever had listening to music.

I do adore Pantera though. Opening riff on Mouth For War is the GOAT

Metallica will always be my favourite band but recent my son showed me the band Five Finger Death punch and their not too shabby

And we have beer!

Not as cream-aleish as I had hoped, but still drinkable and enjoyable!

I learned a lot (especially when it comes to mixing the wort and top-off water really well) and look forward to the next brew!

My tastes have mellowed as I've gone further into adulthood but I still have a soft spot for my metal. My Pandora station introduced me to 5 finger death punch, some of their softer stuff resounds with me.

Off the top of my head 'the bleeding' is a solid song about heartbreak with a very nice acoustic yet still heavy sound to it which I've become a big fan of recently.

This tennis tournament is pretty cool.

Kinda makes me wish we could see Crosby and McDavid or Burns and Karlsson go one-on-one.
