Some of the best tequilas in the world are 100% agave, and gold/brown in color

Any scotch drinkers here? I picked up a bottle of this last night:

Both statements were exclusive of one another. I typed it out and am realizing that made no sense .

I prefer smooth, clear 100% agave tequilas. It's a sin to drink a tequila that isn't 100% agave.

Side note, I'm not a whiskey connoisseur, but I picked up a bottle of Johnny Walker 10 year Blender's batch, and thought that it was better than the platinum label that I had a few months ago. Costs half the price too.

I love any and all types of tequila. Salt/Lime optional too granted it does make it fun. Hell, I'll even take Pepe Lopez which is essentially paint thinner.

The worst thing I ever drank was this s'mores vodka my friend brought over to my house once. She's into all that flavored stuff but this was particularly egregious. Straight Everclear is pretty neck and neck with it though.

This is 100% factual. Unfortunately I've done it a handful of times and I end up regretting it even more than the previous time.

I'm pretty sure it is what NASA uses to clean probe instruments before sending those rovers to Mars.

Salt + lime mandatory with tequila.

I home make my own and I also do the same. It's one of my drinks of choice along with few vodkas and gin . Everclear/most close to pure grain alcohols taste like KleanStrip. Strawberry and blue raspberry Italian ice with it though... very good. Also pineapple mango smoothie+everclear.

Nice! I tried that one first too, and liked the classic so much that I had to go and try one of their Islays. Both are great.

Got wait listed but went on to get my master's in biochem and molecular biology to get more research experience. Been busy as hell lately, but hopefully will be writing papers with researxh from two different labs to be published. We'll see

Welp, I'm doing my first homebrew today. Wrapping up the boil as we speak (have ~13 minutes left)!

Then the tricky part of not killing my glass carboy and my hands/arms/legs/feet/etc...

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we're in the swamp cooler. My cat has a new living room companion for the next two weeks-ish.

I just did just put an imperial Porter in a rum barrel the other day.

I got a simple Cream Ale kit from my LHBS about two or three weeks ago. Finally got all the equipment I needed and a three day weekend to babysit the fermentation.

I definitely have the "First time homebrewer so I gotta keep my eye on the airlock every minute to check for bubbling" thing down pat.

I was out tonight and was given a really, really bad beer. Tasted like vinegar almost. Was unpleasant. Not bad as in I didn't like it, but bad like something was definitely wrong.
