I grew out of their music as I got older but it was still a huge part of my childhood. LP was my introduction into anything loud and aggressive I listen to now.

Absolutely awful what happened. I'm not trying to sound preachy or overwrought here, but if you have something going on that terrible in your life you have to reach out to someone. I have an unfortunate familiarity with this kind of stuff and its horrible to see it carried out.

I was not aware of that - maybe it`s just a norwegian nick name of it.
I know I can`t have it outside at night though, but it remember its name and the cat can be very understanding with a great personality. :)

So, I'm about to get into homebrewing. Gotta order a few things online (sanitizing stuff and bottles), but for the most part...I have everything else. Found a cool homebrew store down in Baldwin and they were very nice. The owner packs his own extract and brew kits, so they're unique and somewhat fresh.

God save my wallet. This is a rabbit hole I might not climb back out of. I was able to get out of Magic TCG, so that's something.

I have really gotten into graphic novels and comic anthologies. Never used to be a big fan of them, but all of a sudden it clicked. Reading the Deadly Class first omnibus, “Noise Noise Noise”. It’s a fantastic read so far.

I bought myself a PET 3 gallon carboy, so I figured before I try any 5 gallon batch for my first go at it, I'd give a smaller batch ago. Also because I'm not 100% sold on the room I have in my apartment. So I'll start small and see how much room I have remaining.

I want to get a wall thermometer or something b/c my apartment has no thermostat, so it would be nice to have some way to actually tell the temperature in my closet or something so I can plan for where I'll store for fermentation and bottling.

I know that many struggle to get their girlfriends into beer and such. I found a great way to introduce them. Owl's Brew Radler is a beer/tea mix. It's actually quite delicious. "The Blondie" is particularly tasty and a really awesome summer beer. Women-owned company, too. So that helped as well. Since my girlfriend got into that, she's also really enjoyed some of the more citrus-y IPAs (Ballast Point's Grapefruit Sculpin is a favorite of hers). Awesome way to bring someone into that scene.

My girlfriend enjoys sours and unfiltered ciders.

So thankfully, I already had her blessing before even mentioning "homebrewing" to her :P

Fortunately I never had that issue. I met my wife while in college and at that time she would drink Tequila straight up (and warm). If you can drink that, you can drink anything.

She has since become a bit more picky and focuses mostly on flavored beers, especially pumpkin beers.

I gagged just reading this.

Too many tequila Tuesdays in my (3 years ago) youth.

Barf. Brown liquor in general doesn't sit well with me.

Agave or nothing. Gold/Brown tequila is gross. I was personally a fan of dark rum in my college days. Flor de Cana is so underrated and is the best dark rum I've ever tasted. I could still probably rip a shot or two of that and not mind.

Budweiser and vodka. Though I do enjoy a good IPA every once in awhile
