i never have tried 99 cent nyc pizza as the lines for them would be real long whenever i would pass by. but i have a feeling that pizza has to be gourmet compared to cesar difara on that pic. so $53 gets you that in vegas huh?
99 cent pizza is always flimsy AF because they skimp on dough and every other ingredient, and it's also about 2/3 the size of a normal slice.i never have tried 99 cent nyc pizza as the lines for them would be real long whenever i would pass by. but i have a feeling that pizza has to be gourmet compared to cesar difara on that pic. so $53 gets you that in vegas huh?
any truth to that the vegas all you can eat buffets are actually pretty good?
I don't do buffet's so I can't comment. Supposedly they were decent back in the day...especially the ones that included crab legs. Buffet's used to be $3-$10. Now they are upwards of $85 per person with tax & tip. Thanks anyway.i never have tried 99 cent nyc pizza as the lines for them would be real long whenever i would pass by. but i have a feeling that pizza has to be gourmet compared to cesar difara on that pic. so $53 gets you that in vegas huh?

So pizza isn't the only thing I eat, even though I really wish it was. Summertime means it's grilling season (although I grill year round) & I picked up a bunch of grass fed meat from Hastings Farm in Suffield CT. They are a family farm that raise their own cattle right on the property.
Tonight I went with Ribeyes.

On Sunday we went to a local farmers market & grabbed organic potatoes & asparagus with a bunch of other goodies. They complemented the steak nicely. Sam Adams pairs really well with red meat.

I don't always agree with Dave's reviews, but his passion for pizza rivals mine. This sums up my feelings perfectly...NYC doing away with some pizza ovens? Don't worry by 2027 everone will be microwaving their vegan pizzas lol![]()

Gotta straighten those grille marks out but cooked to perfection!!!So pizza isn't the only thing I eat, even though I really wish it was. Get a lobster roll @ DJ’s clam shack… they’re the size of a football & amazingGod damn it, I intermittent fast (I have for about 3-4 years now), but this thread makes the mornings a little tough lol. Looks like I'll be having a ribeye and baked potato soon.
I'll be in Key West next week, anyone ever been and know some spots down there?
My favorite that I've had from the US is the BBQ chicken ones from California Pizza Kitchen. What frozen pizza do you guys like? I like Amnons but I know some do not. For a more major grocery brand I like Freshetta thin 5 cheese although MotorCity crust is pretty good for pan type pizza.
I like the BBQ Chicken Pizza from California Pizza as well. It is not what I think of as typical pizza but its tasty. I have not ever had the Digiorno stuffed crust. I used to get their pizza. It seemed like a lot of crust to cheese ratio but was not terrible. I actually like pan style but eat mostly thin crust to save calories. The Freshetta 5 cheese thin crust is pretty good and only 370 cals a slice (4 slices for whole pizza). My favorite that I've had from the US is the BBQ chicken ones from California Pizza Kitchen.
Delissio Stuffed Crust Cheese, Delissio = DiGiorno in the US; is also pretty good. I don't know why as I don't care for their other pizzas, but that stuffed crust one is done very well. The stuffed crust actually has a nicer melted cheese in it than the majority of times you get a delivery one.
For frozen pizzas - which again are their own category of food not "pizza" in the traditional sense, haha - I usually go with Red Baron as the best in the category. What frozen pizza do you guys like? I have never had Red Baron. I figured cheap would be bad for Red Baron and Tombstone. I know some people like them. I have tried most frozen pizza. Last year I compared many of them including the Barstal pizza. If anyone tells me a good cheap pizza I will try it.For frozen pizzas - which again are their own category of food not "pizza" in the traditional sense, haha - I usually go with Red Baron as the best in the category.
I know, really embarrassing. I almost didn't post the pic, LOL. The meat from that farm is so good...it's as flavorful as grain fed beef. Their porterhouses are out of this world.Gotta straighten those grille marks out but cooked to perfection!!!
Ribeye is great & wherever you got them from at that farm… keep going. The marbling is fantastic
My wife bought me a Weber Genesis II for my birthday back in 2017. Loved it but after 5 years it is trash. Not spending $1,000+ on a grill every 5 years. I now have a blackstone (which I L O V E) and will find a cheaper grill in the near future.I know, really embarrassing. I almost didn't post the pic, LOL. I just replaced my 3 burner Weber with a newer 2 burner & I'm still getting used to it. I initially installed the grill plates upside down, so everything was sliding around. Still no excuse for the off center marks.
FYI...For anyone interested The newer Webers aren't nearly as well built as the older models. Now made in china with cheaper materials. The older ones were made with 304 stainless which is higher quality & less prone to corrosion. This new one uses 409 stainless which is magnetic & already showing signs of tiny rust specs with all this humidity & rain we've been getting. I might sell this one & buy a refurbished older model from the mid 2000s. When I was living in Vegas, I had a natural gas version from that era, that was just amazing. It killed me to leave that grill behind when I moved back east.
