Horn is a solid player. He's not James Neal. Horn is simply an inferior player. Neal was on a great contract and is a 40 goal scorer in Pittsburgh. This is a pretty massive downgrade.

I love it, though. It's an awful deal for those ****ers. Rutherford is a terrible GM.

And Horn was a 30 goal scorer in Nashville? James Neal was playing with Crosby or Malkin. It's not fair to just throw out stats and say, oh, well, 30 goal scorer for a 40 goal scorer.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Horn pot 40 with Crosby or Malkin. He's a much headier player.

The big downgrade is in grit, but maybe Pitt saw the Rangers and thought it's not as necessary.

It's a good trade for both teams to be honest and it might turn out to be a win for Pitt.

Perlini is def Italian. I hope he cooks better than he plays because the few games I watched him against Kingston he was timid and floating.

Rob Brown 2.0

Laviolette likes speed. Hornqvist is very very slow.

It's not a good trade for both teams. It's a typical Rutherford trade.

Expecting Hornqvist to massively improve with Pittsburgh is like expecting Scott Gomez to produce more on a more offensive team than the Devils.

Hornqvist is a very solid step down from Neal with basically the same contract. Spaling is a good 4th liner / average 3rd liner. Does not come close to making up the difference in the two players.
