Horn is a solid player. He's not James Neal. Horn is simply an inferior player. Neal was on a great contract and is a 40 goal scorer in Pittsburgh. This is a pretty massive downgrade.

I love it, though. It's an awful deal for those ****ers. Rutherford is a terrible GM.

Not at all. There is a pretty huge gap between Neal and Horn. And Spalling isn't enough to make up for it. I am shocked that a pick wasn't involved. At least a second.

Honestly, to change topic, is there really any reason for Glen to be at this thing tonight? Rangers aren't going to do ****, let's be honest. Should've taken the night to manage internally. Sent only Gorton or Schoney to the draft to just be a human cone.

I don't need advanced stats to tell me that Stralman's found his niche here as his game fits perfectly in AV's system, while Girardi fit much better in Torts' system and his best hockey is behind him due to the physical toll his body takes each season.

It's not even about who is "better."

It's about who is going to be more of a valuable asset to the team during their contract.

Girardi's already breaking down, dude.
Stralman doesn't play the same way, so his minutes are less intense than Girardi's and Stralman should be able to play at a high level later in his career than Girardi.

That's my opinion. Your opinion is just as valid, and I respect it and enjoy the healthy discussion, but please don't lump me in with the advanced possession stat cult whackos (cough Zil cough) please.

I'm old school. You don't trade guaranteed production for potential production unless it's a cancer/money issue.

Neal shouldn't have been a scapegoat.

Donkey face was brutal but I guess you can't trade a Hart winner.
