That’s unacceptable and it’s hilariously watching Jack Edwards of all people act like it’s all cool.

High-sticking goals can be reviewed, but this wasn't a high-sticking goal, it was played downwards and then shot in. They had to call the play dead, but didn't, so nothing could be reviewed.

For what it's worth, once they decide not to call a high stick on the ice, they are not able to review that. If it had gone in directly, it's another matter.

You can't challenge a high stick that didn't result in a goal. Wagner hit it, then hit it again. When he first made contact looked to be at his shoulder, which determines if it's a high stick, or not, as long as the puck doesn't go in. If it went in as a result of that initial hit, then it's based on crossbar.

It looked fine.
