One can hope they tried and the prices were too "high" for what they wanted to pay or whatever excuse, because one would think CMac wouldn't waste another prime year of Mac/Rants/Makar. Even with all that though, the fact Bednar sings 4giev praises after each game is a bigger joke, I get he is probably in his head and it is a way to try to get him back on track or what have you, but enough is enough, he calls out others on their mistakes easily, shrug

Blackwood is not very good but with the dearth of goaltenders he should be worth 2 firsts. Of course no one will pay that for a goaltender.

And teams will ultimately blow a year of their prime because they get awful goaltending.

The problem is that most of the calls against the Habs are things that don't get called on many teams. The interference call on Struble was a penalty but Dobson did the same thing 10 seconds before. I don't give a shat if he hit him or just got in his way. It is still interference. Xhekaj goes to play the puck and an Islander throws himself over the stick. Penalty,
