Their key guys are old. They bleed a ton of chances against 5v5. Their goalies and PP tend to bail them out.

11 yrs ago Terry Pegula fired head coach Lindy Ruff, and although the team was struggling a bit, missing the playoffs 2 years before the firing, Lindy was the constant through their successful 2000's

and so it was, Lindy Ruff's return as head coach and the team has made some progress.

Looks like Lindy Ruff is getting through to the Sabres players.

I’m gonna keep doubting until things look more definite, but I liked the physicality and bounce back in a back-to-back. Come from behind wins against the ducks and sharks doesn’t really inspire confidence, but points are points. Keep the wins going.
