Capitals just have no high end talent. I don’t think they expected Ovechkin to fall off a cliff this quickly.

But with him not putting in goals, Backstrom basically done, and Kuzy being horrific, that’s a hell of a lot of cap to overcome doing basically the bare minimum.

Yes it should be a penalty although is more of a push than a crosscheck. But it is done and gotten away with every game.

And if there is a 5 and a game for highsticking Kuzmenko should have been given it. That was a dlliberate high stick.
