I expect the Leafs to explode offensively tonight. A couple goals by Matthews.

I can see Columbus having a really good game too, in honor of Gaudreau.

I believe I heard that the Leafs are using their 3rd string backup tonight. The Devils do have a curse of making any new goalie or backup look good though.

Tonight's the night where Jessie Puljujarvi begins his dominance of the league and shows the world that he's more than just a preseason scoring machine. Go Poolparty!!

More associated with last night, but I just found it now and figured it kind of ties in as the Habs play tonight.

On a different boat, should be some good games.

Florida knows they're a target because they're the champs. Ottawa wants to prove they're ready to take the next step and make the playoffs. Beat Florida would send that type of message imo.

New Jersey wants to show last year was a fluke and they're an upper tier team. Toronto gets hate, pretty much entirely for their post season play, but Toronto is definitely an upper tier team. That offense ran into a hot goalie with a bunch of luck on their side, so this should also be an enterta9ning game.

Boston wants to come out strong after how they started against Florida.

Montreal is using the Homer Simpson approach and hoping teams just get tired.

There's no Monty tonight, so this could get ugly for them. The Habs need to play well and actually make the other team work. They got lucky combined with some big saves against Toronto, highly unlikely that approach works twice in a row.
