Draisaitl has never been fast, he relies heavily on McDavid drawing defenders to him creating odd man chances or open ice
I think his straight line speed is decent but his acceleration is pretty meh

He hovers around a ppg player without McDavid, which is a stark difference from where he is with him. He also looked terrible yesterday against ArizonaHe's been just fine in his career playing away from McDavid. Everyone's play gets elevated playing with Connor because he's the best player in the world and that's what they do. I think people are looking at tonights game and forgetting that's it back to back as well.

Hyman is obvious but Draisaitl looks so slow without McDavid. Guy can’t generate anything on his own at 5v5
His game doesn’t rely on speed. It relies on hockey iq and creating space for his teammatesDraisaitl has never been fast, he relies heavily on McDavid drawing defenders to him creating odd man chances or open ice
Seems likelySomewhere youd probably criticize anyway since it only has 20k people

He set up 4 or 5 grade A chances but nobody converted. He could have taken more shots thoughHe hovers around a ppg player without McDavid, which is a stark difference from where he is with him. He also looked terrible yesterday against Arizona
