Edmonton is 9th in the league in total goals scored (not sure if the standings page includes tonight's game yet). That should be adequate goal-scoring support on average if they had defense and goaltending worth any salt... which also isn't too bad if all you look at is total goals against.

I will grant you that what I've seen of Skinner and the Oilers' defending so far this season (which admittedly isn't a lot) is that they're on track to get eaten alive in the playoffs defensively.
