VGK are a damn good team, their SC was no fluke last year. Signs were coming for the Oilers streak to end, offense dried up and the break took out the momentum (which I believe to be the reason they didn't lose about 5 games earlier).

Oilers need to find a way to upgrade Ceci, that guy is a complete bum. A true one-shot scorer wouldn't hurt either.

No seriously, who’s happy just making it there?

Any person with common sense. Who wouldn’t be happy making the Cup Finals? So you haven’t enjoyed a Flames season in your whole life (assuming you were not watching hockey before 1989)?

a 16 game winning streak without any of the top teams and lots of rest between games is not impressive. zzzz

do the oilers usually play 6 on 5 like that? or was this just a cluster f*** and a 1 off?

It's impressive. Period. Don't be like that. Zero reason to diminish a great run.

First of all I’m not a Flames fan. Secondly you only get so many chances at the Cup.

2006 was great, but then we never got back there.

You have made the same post multiple times. No one is paying attention.

You literally just said 2006 was great. So I guess you agree with me then. 2011 was great too despite the loss in Game 7. Only being happy if you win it all is a miserable existence for every Canadian team in the last 20 years.

They're a damn good team but I dunno, I'd consider Brossoit tearing his groin only for 4 stringer Adin Hill to step in and suddenly become Brodeur to be a bit of a fluke. But goalies do be like that sometimes.
