They're a damn good team but I dunno, I'd consider Brossoit tearing his groin only for 4 stringer Adin Hill to step in and suddenly become Brodeur to be a bit of a fluke. But goalies do be like that sometimes.
The hockey gods act in mysterious ways and are often a fickle mistress ahaha

a 16 game winning streak without any of the top teams and lots of rest between games is not impressive. zzzz

Aw Come On.... ANY - 16 game win streak in the NHL is historic, not just impressive. I don't get all the mental gymnastics we are going through in trying so hard not to recognize or even celebrate it (and I don't like the Oilers)

You literally just said 2006 was great. So I guess you agree with me then. 2011 was great too despite the loss in Game 7. Only being happy if you win it all is a miserable existence for every Canadian team in the last 20 years.
Yes because it was fun at the time… but again, we never got back there. And we weren’t supposed to be a contender that year. This year we are. Just making it is whatever.

Pretty clusterf***ish. Seemed to be some frustration there as well as Hill has been an absolute brick wall against the Oilers in about 7 straight games.
I was amazed, the play was along the left boards and the Oilers would get the puck and have the D man and Drai up high, so I'm thinking ok time to open up the ice and set up, but no, they would do this 3-4 foot hand off up high and just blast it back into the crowd lol

6 of those 10 losses are also in the first 12 games when they were a remarkably different team and 2-9-1, how is that relevant to how the team has played since? People can use stats any way they want if they have an agenda.
Yeah but oilers fans love to pull out random stats to discredit the Canucks.

Although recently all they can said was “just wait until the playoff”

It was a hell of an impressive streak Oilers!
But hopefully the loss will keep the more vociferous members of the PDO crew off the mains for a couple of days.

I would chalk it up to VGK having the Oilers number the last little while. Definitely some over-thinking and over-passing going on. Hasn't been for a lack of chances, but a combination of good defense, outstanding goaltending, and Oilers players muffing some good looks has left the Oilers scoring almost non-existent against the Knights (not counting games against their backups, which really aren't reflective of the actual team).

We're praying to the PDO gods as we speak, so far our prayers have gone unanswered.

There's shitty posters on both sides, no need for a shitty poster arms race

Vancouver - Mt. Pleasant
Exemplifies just how hard it is to make up ground in the standings - Oilers have gone on a pretty incredible 24-4 run, and are still 3rd in the Pacific. Vegas is in reach though with all those games in hand, but it has to be mentally exhausting for the team to keep up a high pace. There will probly be a lull here for the Oilers, while Vegas can rebuild a bit of a cushion for 2nd.

I have respect for the Canuck fan base, in general, but holy shit, what a pathetic display in here tonight.
Talking about a fanbase that had 4chan meme playoff avatars in the 10s. They've always been the biggest trolls on this forum, most of them just don't show up much when the team is losing.

I didn't watch any of the game, I tuned in at 2 mins left in the 3rd, so all I got to see was that 6 on 5

I can only imagine you’re including yourself in that. You have been as bad as anyone else here.
I guess you missed it when I clearly stated the Canucks are actually a really good team that could legitimately make a good run.

Oilers 6 on 5 leaves a lot to be desired, they always rush plays and never get control of the possession. Also for some reason they don't just take the free zone entry with Mcdavid bringing the puck in.
