The hockey gods act in mysterious ways and are often a fickle mistress ahahaThey're a damn good team but I dunno, I'd consider Brossoit tearing his groin only for 4 stringer Adin Hill to step in and suddenly become Brodeur to be a bit of a fluke. But goalies do be like that sometimes.
a 16 game winning streak without any of the top teams and lots of rest between games is not impressive. zzzz
But not in OT.... I know the story regarding the winner of a first round 7 game OT series between Calgary and Vancouver.Ya'll need to get your facts straight. Vancouver is losing to the Flames round 1, Kuzy scoring the game 7 winning goal.
Yes because it was fun at the time… but again, we never got back there. And we weren’t supposed to be a contender that year. This year we are. Just making it is whatever. You literally just said 2006 was great. So I guess you agree with me then. 2011 was great too despite the loss in Game 7. Only being happy if you win it all is a miserable existence for every Canadian team in the last 20 years.
I was amazed, the play was along the left boards and the Oilers would get the puck and have the D man and Drai up high, so I'm thinking ok time to open up the ice and set up, but no, they would do this 3-4 foot hand off up high and just blast it back into the crowd lolPretty clusterf***ish. Seemed to be some frustration there as well as Hill has been an absolute brick wall against the Oilers in about 7 straight games.
Counting the days until that is his home rink and he is wearing Leaf blue…..mcdavid wanted to win the all stars 3v3 game more than this one tonight.
used up all his energy during the skills competition that he helped design.
Don’t be like that. The 16 game streak was definitely impressive.a 16 game winning streak without any of the top teams and lots of rest between games is not impressive. zzz
Yeah but oilers fans love to pull out random stats to discredit the Canucks.6 of those 10 losses are also in the first 12 games when they were a remarkably different team and 2-9-1, how is that relevant to how the team has played since? People can use stats any way they want if they have an agenda.
It was already established that Vegas is knocking Edmonton out in 5 also. SooooooBut not in OT.... I know the story regarding the winner of a first round 7 game OT series between Calgary and Vancouver.
Have you not read your own board wishing injury on Canucks players, among other things? This is nothing.I have respect for the Canuck fan base, in general, but holy shit, what a pathetic display in here tonight.

I would chalk it up to VGK having the Oilers number the last little while. Definitely some over-thinking and over-passing going on. Hasn't been for a lack of chances, but a combination of good defense, outstanding goaltending, and Oilers players muffing some good looks has left the Oilers scoring almost non-existent against the Knights (not counting games against their backups, which really aren't reflective of the actual team).I was amazed, the play was along the left boards and the Oilers would get the puck and have the D man and Drai up high, so I'm thinking ok time to open up the ice and set up, but no, they would do this 3-4 foot hand off up high and just blast it back into the crowd lol

Vegas/Calgary in round 2?
We're praying to the PDO gods as we speak, so far our prayers have gone unanswered. It was a hell of an impressive streak Oilers!
But hopefully the loss will keep the more vociferous members of the PDO crew off the mains for a couple of days.
There's shitty posters on both sides, no need for a shitty poster arms raceYeah but oilers fans love to pull out random stats to discredit the Canucks.
Although recently all they can said was “just wait until the playoff”
Talking about a fanbase that had 4chan meme playoff avatars in the 10s. They've always been the biggest trolls on this forum, most of them just don't show up much when the team is losing.I have respect for the Canuck fan base, in general, but holy shit, what a pathetic display in here tonight.
CDC had actual nuck fans, the type that don't create tank threads or troll. Non nuck fans have been trolling us all yearcanucks.com forum closed actually. They are coming out of the woodwork now.
I didn't watch any of the game, I tuned in at 2 mins left in the 3rd, so all I got to see was that 6 on 5I would chalk it up to VGK having the Oilers number the last little while. I guess you missed it when I clearly stated the Canucks are actually a really good team that could legitimately make a good run.I can only imagine you’re including yourself in that. You have been as bad as anyone else here.
Oilers 6 on 5 leaves a lot to be desired, they always rush plays and never get control of the possession. Also for some reason they don't just take the free zone entry with Mcdavid bringing the puck in.I didn't watch any of the game, I tuned in at 2 mins left in the 3rd, so all I got to see was that 6 on 5
