Not that I condone it but garland should have e gotten at least 3 penalties against him and the refs did nothing. No wonder Mcdavid was so frustrated. I don’t blame him. Bouchard was skating up to him casually and got leveled by Myers. That was far worse.

No they won't. Matthews got suspended for multiple games for it. Soucy literally got suspended in the series against the Oilers last year for it, and playoff games are supposed to be considered 2x regular season games.

Even with McDavid's favourable refereeing he's not avoiding a suspension here.
