Brody is a great pick, especially that late. He's before my time but I've seen a lot of YouTube compilations of him and he seemed way ahead of his time. He'd be a star even today, which I don't think you can say about a lot of 80s guys.

He's before my time too, he was passed away before I started following pro wrestling (say around early 1990), but of the guys from the past I've learned about since, he's one of the most fascinating. I never realized until recently how huge of a star he was in his heyday. His work was ahead of it's time and he's very athletic. He seemed to do a lot of running and jumping moves which would actually fit in well with the current WWE style..

Brody and Hansen were over in Japan. Part of the West Texas State crew. Not sure if it was the Funk connection or what but that football program was a goldmine for wrestling. I have a few Japanese wrestling magazines. A few of them are about Brody's murder and career in Japan. My favorite features a series of Brody and Hansen dressed as samurai.

I believe it was Jim Ross that said in an interview Baba paid them MLB level money. Not the same as what MLB pulls in today but they did damn well for themselves. So much so working gigs in the territories was just moonlighting and they never had to cave for Vince.

Others have said the Brody had been in talks with Vince for a big pay day and a program with Hogan. Brody was allegedly willing to job in the end for the pay day but was waiting for his marquee status in Japan to subside. At the time of his death it was still his bread and butter. Ultimately, we shall never know. Hard to decipher truth from rumor in this wacky business. I want to believe.

I like the Miracle Violence Connection at this point. Not a whole lot of big hoss tag teams out there, especially at that level. I am also possibly using some of their theme music for my show this year.

I am looking to trade up. If anyone with the next few picks have it for trade I am very interested. Only if my one wrestler who I want lasts to it. PM me if interested and what you would want for it

I had to review the picks multiple times. Could not fathom DiBiase still being available. Had his name circled and underlined and was waiting to pounce should he fall to me. Alas, it was not to be. I longed to wallow in the muck of avarice.

He had reached my radar as well. Some guys just fall through the cracks based on what ideas people have

I have no plans for DiBiase but couldn't leave the value on the table.

Every year I come up with a loose idea or theme and loose plans while I pick people who potentially fit those plans or rough ideas/themes.

This year, I've been venturing more into picking people I hadn't thought of. Can be good to get the creative juices flowing.

I propose cutting the number of rounds back to 20 and starting free agency earlier. The draft used to be 20 rounds for years but five rounds got added on in large part due to the fast pace those drafts were going at. This draft hasn't been particularly fast and things always slow down since by round 21 it's primarily filler for everyone. The pace has not been terrible this time but the free agency period allows people to pick up their filler very quickly.

It's not my decision of course and if there is general disagreement or apathy then that's fine, the five rounds won't make or break anything.

I'm fine with this as the pace has been a bit wonky this year. 20 rounds + free agency seems reasonable to me.
