Also, tagging to alert only works in the original post. Can't do it in an edit.

8. You must PM the poster after you once you've made your pick.
Note; tagging a GM after-the-fact in an edit does not send that GM a notification. A PM must be sent.

Sorry folks, I assume mcfclee is dead asleep right now and that it's 3am or so in Australia.

He's been good to send me lists thus far but I don't have anything from him for this pick. Hopefully I can get more lists of preferences going forward because I'd rather mcfclee be here than lose a GM. We've been spoiled so far with the pace so I'm not too concerned over being held up right now, especially with my pick being next.

Hopefully we can get a smoother process going when mcfclee wakes up and I get a chance to have a back and fourth.

Is that last pick Vincent Kennedy McMahon or Roaddogg/Billy Gunn? Anyone know lol.
I'm sure I got it right but NBT can clarify if need be.
But also...

13. Do not mention undrafted wrestlers in the discussion threads until the tournament begins.

I’ll give the last few people credit. All of my top choices were selected. I had matches in mind for them.

I'm not a Moxley fan but I am quite surprised with how late he went. Also, shame on Bondurant for taking Tully, one of the symbols of JackSlater Promotions. Great tag team but still, shame.
The Foley drop was a big one to me. From a usual top 10 pick down to 27. Notable drop for a top guy.
This year has been different from most due to the new GMs and it seems there is less recency bias than before.

I can see both preferred sides of the recency bias thing. On one hand it's not the magical "Undertaker is really a dead person" stuff, but on the other- this is what evolution has for us.

A good match is a good match, and personally i prefer a wide variety that has some old vs new stars and some active vs active that never faced off before.

As always, if anyone has never even heard of one of the picks, don't dismiss them as unimportant- youtube em! They may be one of your new all time favorites and you didn't know it!

Ehhhh Foley is all over the place. He's more often than not a second rounder, which seems odd.

2022: 27th
2021: 6th
2020: 9th
2019: 38th
2018: 28th
2017: 27th and 21st (two drafts that year)
2016: 14th

I already have more respect for this draft given how early Thesz went. Picked him a couple times before and nobody gave a fu k lol

Thesz is a big name historically but I'm not sure how many people want to actually watch a Thesz match these days.

I agree, the draft can be a good learning experience as well. Find out about new wrestlers through seemingly random picks or discover some on your own. Should definitely look up picks when you don't know them.

Brody was a gift from the heavens for wrestling photographers. Emerson Murray's bio is a wrestling book essential. Features the work of Scott Romer. Some of the best Brody pics you will see. Unfortunately the best version is OOP but you can still get an updated printing with a lesser cover photo.
