I don't see your problems guys

I'm pretty much obsessed with watching TV shows. Currently, I'm watching:

Actively watching:
How I Met Your Mother
Community
Two and A Half Men
New Girl
Modern Family
True Detective
Shameless
The Big Bang Theory
The Walking Dead
Family Guy
Suits
(though I paused three weeks ago because the 3rd season is boring as ****)

On the list:
House of Cards

Started watching but stopped and still unsure about continuing or not:
Girls
2 Broke Girls
30 Rock

Desperately waiting for new seasons:
Game of Thrones
Californication
Simpsons (German dubbed)
South Park

'edit'

and something I wanna share because I'm watching it right now: Oh my god I'm so in love with Allison Brie. Seriously... I sometimes have to rewind some scenes with her because I just couldn't concentrate on what was said. It's pretty sad actually and I'm normally not that kind of person. I think I'd piss my pants if I ever saw her standing in front of me and talking to me. AND I'M NOT EVEN INTO BRUNETTES AAAAHHHH.

Sorry, I can't focus on anything else. You watch The Simpsons dubbed to German?

You're despicable.

I do because the german synch is pretty good. A lot of my friends watching films and shows in English normally do it, too. The same with South Park, Futurama and Family Guy. Very, very good dubbings.

The main reason why I prefer to watch Simpsons in German is because I grew up as a kid watching it. I've watched it since being like 8, it feels like family. It would feel weird if your family starts speaking in another language, right? :D

I don't care about South Park, Futurama and Family Guy, as I started to watch all of them when being a teenager. I don't have childhood memories attached to it so it doesn't feel weird to me.

HIMYM for me. Suits I've tried to get back into. I've never had a show fall off so hard and so fast for me :( I was so excited I caught the pilot as it aired and was happy I wouldn't have to catch up with a good show when someone told me about it but by mid-season 2 it just wasn't the same for me.

Modern Family reruns are the only other thing I'll watch besides hockey.

Jip. Suits started on such a high note and dropped down soooo badly. Wow.

Since he's working as an "established" lawyer and he's finally with that hot chick that actually can't act at all besides making a pretty face (did someone else recognize how bad she's acting sometimes?), the show obviously doesn't really know where to go from here. It literally seems like they wrote that cool idea and a script for two seasons and now their stuck with the show because they had to write another 2 seasons with no idea what to do with their plot.

I mean is there anyone that actually gives a **** about all the others characters fighting for dominance inside the firm? The only really interesting characters is Louis. Yeah, the crazy cat guy. Those writers should be ashamed that the person I can identify the most after 2 seasons is the crazy, pathetic, fat cat guy.

Donna is the absolute **** and I will not accept anyone besmirching my future wife!

For reals, Sarah Rafferty is #1 on my celebrity crush list. Sorry Kristen Bell...it is what it is.

I swear to you, I was just about to write "the only two interesting characters are Louis and Donna." but then I thought about it and TBH, Donna is pretty annoying from the moment they role up that old "what happend between them 20 years ago and Donna is actually a blindfolded slave for him without own head that follows him into doomsday". Before that, I would agree with you.

Mike I found annoying about halfway through season 2.

Everyone get's annoying around halfway through season 2 - besides Louis. He changes from "stupid annoying *******" to "quite likeable human being with issues but a good heart overall and funny moments", IMO.

Agreed. I haven't watched season 3 yet (only just discovered Suits around beginning of February and Netflix only has seasons 1 & 2)

I paused after a couple of episodes. I thought it even got more boring. More "intrigue" stuff and people watching each other aggressively in the eyes. Btw, there was no show on TV that had sooo many "someone is making a last point, walks out of the office confidently and we cut to a close up to the victims puzzled face"-scenes. You could make a drinking game out of it

I hate shows that are based off books and completely change the plot.

TRUE BLOOD

Bitten changed a little, but it's still based mostly on the books

Took out HIMYM and New Girl and you'd have a pretty decent list. Don't know anything about Top Gear, Musketeers, The Hour, Shameless, Psych or Quite Interesting though.

I am a HUGE Zoe Deschanel fan but I just cannot see what anyone can possible see in New Girl. It's so annoying, obvious and just plain BORING. The acting and scripts are just awful, but somehow not awful in way that is even funny. Barely ranks above the hell holes of Chuck Lorre (2.5 Men, BBT).

So Holden, what shows do you find funny? Big Bang is hilarious.

It's one (lame) joke stretched out into what 7 seasons of agony. Look at the socially ackward nerds try to impress the hot girl. :shakehead Jokes are can be seen coming from outer space (get it?), then they fall on your head repeatably till you get it (get it?). Awful.

I like shows that actually have writers in general. Doesn't mean they are "above" the easy joke, but it usually has some other purpose as well (or it's down in a different way). Shows that they respect the intelligence of their audience rather than regurgitating the same jokes and telegraph them so everyone knows when to laugh. Shows that you can watch more than once and get even more out of.

Some of my favourite comedies are Arrested Development, Archer, Futurama, 30 Rock, Seinfeld. Parks and Recreation, Sports Night (2 seasons from mid-90's), Community (early seasons), Bob's Burgers, Entourage, Freaks and Geeks all have some good episodes as well.
