Yeah there are ideas kicking around and it can take years to get them. I was desperate for Dusty Rhodes last year because of an idea from several years ago. Same with MJF this year. You can never get everyone you want, but the fun is in seeing who you actually end up getting.
That’s why I don’t get too married to my ideas. I have 2 in the bag I think. The rest I just see who I have while I’m doing it

Yeah it depends on the idea. A specific matchup is hard to pull off if it involves two or more specific wrestlers. Sometimes the idea is just for a certain wrestler and the opponent doesn't matter as much. Sometimes it's just a general idea (for a match type of a wrestler of a certain angle) and can be easier to pull off. Then again some of the best ideas are ones that randomly pop up during the draft.

I have never had him in the draft before and wasn’t expecting him to be available at #6. Hard to pass up on that value.

I was hoping to pick him with my pick in the second round. He has really shot up the draft board and rightfully so this year. Plus a Rock vs Roman match could write itself although predictable.
i did it a couple a years ago i think

I strongly considered the Funker with my last pick. Really enjoyed using him before. Pillman is also good because you can use him almost anywhere and in any way.

Kind of out of my wheelhouse going back to the early 90’s, but sometimes i like to make it a challenge and see what I can use from his history. Felt an opportunity presented itself apart from what I was planning.

Last year I found my card was too modern. Lots of good match ups, but 90% of the guys I selected were more from this era of wrestling. Trying to switch it up this year.

My friend that I discuss this with, I kinda said the same thing when we were coming up with names. I just always find the value in them because I just know them better. Although I do like to put together one or two matches that could conceivably still happen. Some of them I’ve been disappointed when they do

I like to see a good mix of eras on any card. You're going to get higher workrate with a card of modern guys and you're going to get more established gimmicks and characterization with older guys, at least generally. Best to have a mix when possible to take the best of each.

Wow. I was just hoping it’d be my turn when I got home from dinner and lo and behold it sure was. Apologies for the delay.

Some great picks. Pillman wasn’t on my “list” this year, but he’s great. Funk was, but figured I could hold out. Goldberg might well have been might next pick so Jack got him just at the right time.

Have to say, Van Dam wasn’t even on my radar, but I felt like he was just sitting there. Even have an idea for him too.

And that’s the latest I remember Dynamite Kid ever going. I was thinking him too, ONLY to use as The British Bulldogs, but then Davey went. Not sure what everyone else thinks, but this feels like one of the more unpredictable drafts.

I don’t get why Moxley doesn’t go higher than he used to. Last year I got him at 86
