Not liking the 3 goalie kind of rotation with Shep, Stevenson and Gibson. I know Shep is now a career AHL'er and they want to keep him for the Calder Cup runs, but at the same time Gibson/Stevenson need to develop at the AHL level. With an 82 game schedule a 3 goalie rotation can work at the AHL level, but now that it's 72 games, I don't think it's such a good idea going forward.
Mud burnt his hand at Todd Nelson's yearly pig roast trying to save the pig. Gibson will go back to SC once he's back

Sudzy reassigned to South Carolina

Upper body injury I believe
Back to Europe in 3...2...

I have had it on my secondary screen. See they are up 3-2. Lines much more jumbled up today as well. And Hunt and Ness together is interesting. I suspect Sgarbossa will be coming back momentarily.

Bears steal one they didn't deserve. I'll take it. Miro with 0 ice in overtime is questionable at best. Also Funk played decent tonight for anyone curious. Had a killer back check where he stopped a potential scoring chance. Had a nice chance in the slot he could have probably scored on but missed the net and another chance later in the game that did pan out. Nelsons love affair with Philp is going to likely annoy me this year.

I mean Phlip was signed to be the Bears 2C. He is certainly better than Smallman and Saulineir. And Lapierre is not coming back to Hershey.

Funk has gotten in a couple of games in the last week. Glad to hear he looked good. Would love to see him take a permanent spot on 4th line. rotating with Hofer, Strome, and Saulinier now.

Didn’t even notice until now that Sgarbossa and Iorio were reassigned to Hershey. Will be good for Bears to have those guys back in the lineup.

Good for LuJo. Will give it to the guy, he has grinded through his pro career. AHL only contract though. Hope he earns a two-way contract next year.
It is crazy to me that he wasn’t given a two way. I’m wondering if he got bad advice from an agent and he was holding out for a one way deal. He’s a solid player at the AHL level who can fill in at the NHL when needed

Saw Stevenson dressed as back up last night. Hopefully he's back to full health and we'll see him start this afternoon

Also first line was invisible last night. Limo in particular was disappointing with two brutal turnovers directly into the slot within the first five minutes of the 2nd period last night, including one that led to Springfield's 2nd goal.

The fourth line impressed, especially Matt Strome. He has some surprising stickhandling and puck skills and I believe he may have had the chance to become a real player if he didn't have concrete blocks in his skates. That line had some of their best chances and pressure in a tied 3rd period and also scored Hershey's 1st goal of the night early in the 2nd (off a steal by Strome).

I thought Funk looked good early on, good forecheck and created a chance or two. Almost scored but I *believe* he hit the side of the net (might have been saved, I'm not totally sure). The lines got jumbled in the 2nd period after Dube left the game injured and Strome got shifts on both the 2nd and 3rd lines. But Dube wound up coming back for the 3rd period.

Shep, what more can you say, great as always. Wasn't tested as much as recent games, but Springfield still had a number of high quality chances.

Springfield's line of Dvorsky-Sylvegard-Kaskimaki was by far their most dangerous. Scored both of their goals and had most of their best chances. I wasn't a big fan of Dvorsky his draft year but he's flashing some skill.

I didn’t get to watch any of this one. Was going to ask about Funk as he was dressed on the third line. Would love to see him emerge. He is clearly above Hofer whom likes like he will be a career AHL’er at best. Had higher hopes for him. And Strome continues to be a strong underdog. I don’t know if he ever makes it to NHL but i like his game in Hershey.

Bruh, why is every hockey league so trash on fan engagement? Saw the lineups for, I think, the next game and saw Iorio on the 3rd pair. Have seen him as 3rd pair for most his term, so was curious if he's a true 3rd pair in the AHL or if it's just how they've lined it up. Find out the AHL doesn't share TOI data with the fans, even though it's collected, for reasons.

Just...what.
