how long until Moen brainwashes Parros with his "you don't have to fight, just play like a superstar!"

i'm cherry-picking/ignoring the fact that he won his fight

He's been very good. Just saw the replay on the Phaneuf goal... I take it back. Good luck stopping that one.

That being said though I would've liked to have seen a better effort on the breakaway. Again though... it's a freaking breakaway.

BTW, can we shoot the refs?

Yeah, I was gonna write that Roy could've stopped that shot. Only because he had the best glove hand of all time. Otherwise...not a goal to lay on Price.

not playing bad - a couple of breakdowns = 2 goals. the difference? we're still too tiny in our top 9 AND we don't have the size to score dirty goals on the PP. Desharnais is embarrassing up front, gionta not doing much, patches injured

2 things I'd love to see Price working on....close range, keep your freakin stick flat on the ice protecting the 5-hole. Price is big. A guy close range CANNOT score on you except....5-hole. If the stick is there, they do not score. And he still moves a lot in front of his net. He doesn't need to. He fix this, he becomes better.

Having said that, he wasn't weak tonight. He had a very good game so far. But didn't save the day. That breakaway would have been a turnover.

Anyway, 3rd period coming. Nothing is done obviously.

The Lupul goal was under the pad not the 5-hole thought.

I don't know what to think about markov. Last year he had a lot of those wtf moments and I bashed him a lot for this. Now he does it again 1st game of the season...

As for the leafs, I liked to watch them vs the bruins, and they're still talented and fast.

This game is good!

We need to call up Beaulieu and let the kids play they seem to be the only ones with a fire in their belly.

Terrible/invisible so far :

Briere
DD
Gionta
Markov (decent if not for multiple very conspicuous errors)

Decent :

Price (not overly impressed, though...)
Plekanec
Prust
Gorges
Tinordi
Bouillon (barely)
Parros
Moen

Good :

Subban
Bourque
Galchenyuk (almost same level as his linemates)
Diaz

Great :

Eller
Gallagher

Injured :

Pacs

Bolded are the only changes/edits I'd make on a first glance.

Price has been good but he still cannot stop a breakaway to save his life.

Desharnais just seems like beating a dead horse i hate this player with a passion.

... Don't expect Price to pull out miracle he does not do that.

That being said... Tonight he's not that bad he made some really nice saves.

So far Reimer is the difference, he's stopped a lot of great chances. Price hasn't played bad but he hasn't made as many big saves. I'm sure he'd like the 1st one back. 2nd one was a great shot. 3rd he seemed to commit before the shooter.

Someone clearly didn't see that glove save in the first...or that butterfly save right before it for that matter.
