I'm not sure it hurts to see if he can get better with time. He can always be moved to the wing. That's an easy shift. We know what the weaknesses and limitations are/have been to his game, but I'm ok with them continuing to throw him out at C. There are a couple prospects at C, and Kopitar is likely never going anywhere, so at worst he'll be the 3C one day, so feed Kempe C minutes this year. If he keeps not getting better at it, a LW spot will always be there.
I would say the exact opposite. He's better on the left side, playing fewer minutes. When he was the 5th or 6th guy on the team, that's when they were winning. When he's been forced into the top 4, and/or to the right side, they've got 1 playoff win. Not that that's all on him.
They have 4 RHD. There's almost no reason for Martinez to be playing his off side. 3 of those 4 might be nothing more than space filler, but to force Martinez in there just because he's one of the 4 most proven guys, to me that's not putting him in the best position to succeed. I'd rather he be playing every shift with Doughty than to the right of Hutton.
There's also a point where you don't want to do that anymore. There's a fine line in there somewhere. Since the most productive years are usually those early to mid 20's, you don't want those years spent in the minors if a guy is actually talented. But Bjornfot is so stupidly young, that he hasn't even entered the prime of his professional youth. He's 2.5 years away from being allowed to drink. Brown will be playing his final games before TB is drinking legally, just to put that in perspective.
