I mean, his current pace would give him 15.79 wins over 26 games prorated, so I'm not sure why you are treating 16 wins as an impossibility. Especially if he plays more frequently than he has been.

He would need to play 20 games out of 26 for 15.814 wins with his current pace, which is exactly the rate he's been playing at.

i think they'll rest him more for playoffs especially after last years playoff meltdown. some people speculated the jets overplayed him in the regular season.

Can he? Sure. Should he be playing so much that he gets there? I don't think so. The Jets are all about achieving playoff success, I should think. Conventional wisdom today says that you should be playing your backup more, if you have designs on a run to late June.
